Rossinavi announces the launch of their latest and most innovative project, the M/Y Seawolf X. As the first hybrid-electric catamaran in the shipyard‘s fleet, Seawolf X represents a significant leap forward in sustainable yachting. This remarkable vessel, featuring exterior design by Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design and interiors by New York-based Meyer Davis Studio, embodies Rossinavi’s new BluE sustainable philosophy.
Seawolf X offers three distinct performance scenarios, each designed to maximize efficiency and sustainability. For one-day trips, the catamaran can cruise entirely in full electric mode, ensuring a zero-emission journey. In fact, on multi-day excursions, Seawolf X maintains electric mode for ninety percent of the trip, demonstrating its ability to sustain longer journeys with minimal environmental impact. Even on transatlantic voyages, this innovative vessel can operate in electric mode for eighty per cent of the crossing, significantly reducing its carbon footprint over long distances.
When moored, Seawolf X enters Hibernation mode, which reduces energy consumption to a bare minimum. This mode allows the energy generated to be returned to the quay or used to power a private property, such as charging an entire villa. Additionally, Seawolf X is equipped with two diesel generators that can rapidly recharge the batteries, ensuring the yacht is always ready for its next adventure. The vessel also features fast charging capabilities, allowing it to recharge fully at shore power in just five hours.
Rossinavi AI Technology
Rossinavi has integrated an advanced artificial intelligence system, Rossinavi AI, to enhance onboard comfort and maximize the yacht’s green potential. This AI continuously monitors the vessel’s operation, learning from observation and predicting the needs of guests. By interacting with the crew, it promotes lower-impact behaviours and educates on conscious cruising, ensuring seamless navigation tailored to guest preferences. The AI also maintains the battery pack within the ideal range of twenty to eighty per cent to extend battery life.
Vision and Aesthetics
Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design approached the Seawolf X project with a bold vision, free from conventional constraints. The result is a sleek, low-profile silhouette reminiscent of a sports car. The design emphasizes both aesthetic appeal and functional efficiency, creating a visually striking and performance-oriented vessel.
Seawolf X features three distinct outdoor areas designed to enhance the yachting experience. The cockpit area, centralized around a pool, is perfect for socializing and relaxation. Moreover, the expansive sundeck offers sunbathing and living spaces, providing ample room for guests to enjoy the outdoors. The bow area includes a hidden pool and a convertible home theatre, adding versatility and entertainment options to the yacht’s amenities.
Sustainability Integration
In their quest for sustainability, the design team seamlessly integrated solar panels into the vessel, optimizing surface area for energy recovery. The hull’s efficiency is enhanced through lightweight solutions, including a cleverly designed anchor that meets weight standards while maintaining aesthetics. The team created a comfortable and inviting environment aboard this futuristic catamaran through careful design, lighting, and material selection.
Interior Design by Meyer Davis Studio
The interior design by Meyer Davis Studio complements the innovative exterior with luxurious and comfortable spaces. The use of high-quality materials and thoughtful design elements ensures that guests experience comfort and style. The designers carefully considered every aspect of the interior to provide a serene and elegant atmosphere, enhancing the overall yachting experience.
Meyer Davis Studio prioritized sustainable materials throughout the interior, aligning with Rossinavi’s BluE philosophy. This commitment to sustainability is evident in every detail, from the furnishings to the finishes. By selecting eco-friendly materials and employing sustainable design practices, Meyer Davis Studio has created an interior that is both luxurious and environmentally responsible.
BluE Philosophy: A New Standard in Sustainable Yachting
Rossinavi’s BluE philosophy, introduced in 2022, represents a revolutionary approach to yacht design, prioritizing environmental impact. Inspired by phytoplankton’s ability to harness sunlight for energy, BluE embodies a vision of sustainable luxury. These hybrid-electric yachts operate in electric mode for one hundred per cent of day trips and eighty per cent of transatlantic voyages, significantly reducing CO2 emissions.
BluE yachts utilize photovoltaic technology to absorb sunlight during the day, converting it into energy stored in advanced batteries. This energy is then released at night, creating a bioluminescent effect akin to glowing plankton.
