Numarine, the renowned Turkish shipyard known for its stylish and capable explorer yachts, is celebrating a remarkable milestone with the launch of the all-new 30XP superyacht. This debut not only highlights the brand’s commitment to luxury and craftsmanship but also signifies an exciting shift towards sustainability with the introduction of a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system, marking the first of its kind for the company.
The 30XP fills a mid-sized gap in Numarine’s extensive lineup, which ranges from 22 to 45 meters. Since its initial unveiling in September 2022 to commemorate the shipyard’s 20th anniversary, the model has already seen considerable success, with four units sold off-plan to existing Numarine owners. This enthusiastic reception underscores the design’s alignment with the preferences and expectations of its established clientele.
The aesthetic appeal of the 30XP is a product of the combined talents of primary designer Can Yalman and Istanbul’s Ofist Design Studio, which collaborated on the interior design. The interiors are characterized by Scandinavian-inspired elements that prioritize simplicity, minimalism, and functionality. Numarine Chairman Ömer Malaz emphasized the vision behind the design, stating that it aims to offer a feeling of being at home, even when far out at sea. This philosophy is reflected in the yacht’s spacious layout and carefully curated materials, creating an inviting atmosphere that balances elegance and comfort.
Spacious Layout and Outdoor Connection
The 30XP boasts a substantial internal volume of 208 gross tons, allowing for a flexible layout that can be tailored to individual owner preferences. The yacht is designed to foster a strong connection with the outdoors, featuring extensive deck space ideal for various activities. One of the standout elements of this model is its semi-open beach club at the stern, which offers a generous area for relaxation and recreation. The design includes fold-down platforms that expand the beach club to an impressive 46 square meters, providing ample space for water sports and swimming.
In addition to the beach club, the 30XP is equipped with a private master suite that occupies prime real estate on the main deck. This luxurious cabin offers stunning views and optimal privacy, featuring a spacious dressing room, a bathroom with dual basins, and a private balcony that provides an idyllic spot for enjoying the tranquillity of the surrounding bays. The master suite also includes an office space with a large desk positioned in front of full-sized windows, allowing for a peaceful working environment amidst breathtaking views.
Guest accommodations are thoughtfully arranged on the lower deck, featuring four generously sized cabins. The layout includes two VIP doubles with king-size beds and two standard doubles, each with ensuite facilities. The design of these cabins incorporates large hull windows that stretch nearly the full width of the space, flooding the interiors with natural light and offering spectacular views of the seascape.
Exceptional Service and Design Flow
In terms of service, the 30XP accommodates a crew of four plus the captain, ensuring that guests receive exceptional levels of hospitality throughout their journey. The main deck features sliding doors that open the saloon to the expansive outdoor area, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. Full-height windows frame the views, allowing natural light to pour in and enhancing the overall ambiance. The saloon is outfitted with comfortable sofas and armchairs, complemented by a stylish bar strategically placed near the aft doors, facilitating effortless service for guests both indoors and outdoors.
Powering the 30XP can be achieved through either the innovative diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system or a conventional drivetrain consisting of twin 560hp MAN engines. Both systems enable the yacht to reach a maximum speed of around 13 knots, with a cruising speed of 10 knots. When operating under the hybrid system, twin electric engines draw power from four 108kW diesel generators, providing a more efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional propulsion. This hybrid technology allows for significant fuel savings compared to standard diesel powertrains, making it an attractive option for environmentally conscious yacht owners.
Commitment to Sustainability
Numarine’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond hybrid propulsion. The shipyard integrates eco-friendly materials into the construction process wherever feasible and optimizes energy efficiency on board. Each yacht is designed with waste management and recycling systems to minimize environmental impact, showcasing Numarine’s dedication to creating vessels that prioritize ecological responsibility.
Advanced technological features further elevate the 30XP’s onboard experience. These include state-of-the-art stabilization systems for enhanced comfort at sea, integrated automation and control systems for seamless operation, and cutting-edge navigation and communication equipment. Smart home technologies provide owners with connectivity and control, ensuring a modern, user-friendly experience that enhances performance, safety, and convenience.
Ömer Malaz expressed his enthusiasm for the 30XP, stating, “We are delighted with the positive reception for our new Numarine 30XP. She is every inch an explorer yacht, just like all our models, with the capability of taking owners and their families far and wide in tremendous comfort and safety. But the addition of the hybrid-electric propulsion option marks the start of a new era of lower emissions for our yachts. We expect this to be a popular choice.”
