The Gallery of Modern Art in Milan is playing host to an exhibition about the 80 years of a company which was founded in 1934 in Giussano by Angelo and Giuseppina Molteni
THANKS TO THE ARTISTIC MOUNTING BY JASPER MORRISON the exhibition shows the prototypes and the icon-models of the four brands of the Group: Molteni&C, UniFor, Dada and Citterio. It also describes the Italian history of a business which started in the thirties as an artisan company, before developing from the fifties into industrial production in partnership with Italian and international architects and designers like Foster+Partners, Luca Meda, Dante Bonuccelli, Aldo Rossi, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Hannes Wettstein, Patricia Urquiola, Ron Gilad, Werner Blaser, Richard Sapper.
Up to the reproposal of the furnishings designed by Gio Ponti from 1935 to 1970.
