Lynx Yachts has announced the launch of “Roe Shadow”, the second hull in the YXT 24 Evolution series. The exterior lines are designed by Bernd Weel, the interiors by Darnet Design, while the naval architecture is the work of Diana Yacht Design.
The launch took place at the shipyard facilities in Nijkerk, without the usual official celebration party open to all. Filippo Rossi, Sales and Marketing Manager of Lynx Yachts, said: “Due to recent events and the uncertainty of the period we are going through, the shipyard has decided to postpone the celebration of this very important and special moment both for the owner of the yacht and for the shipyard and all its collaborators and friends to better times when this very difficult period will be over. ”
The Lynx support vessel boasts a large 75 square meter main deck, which houses a 9.80 m Pascoe beach lander with two outboard motors and two Sea Doo GTR 230, operated by an HS-Marine articulated jib crane with a load capacity of 3,930 tonnes at 5.5 meters and 1,960 tonnes at 10.11 meters.
Once the toys are launched, the main deck and aft platform are transformed into a large terrace overlooking the sea, perfect for relaxing or having an outdoor barbecue and also equipped with a 100-inch outdoor screen.
At the far bow, we find the wheelhouse, positioned so as to allow a 360-degree view and, in particular, from the large window at the stern the crew can always check the toys and equipment loaded on board during navigation.
The YXT 24 Evolution boasts a total length of 27.30 meters and a maximum beam of 7.10 meters. In the engine room, there are two 800 hp MAN engines for a cruising speed of 12 knots.
Interiors
The interior layout of “Roe Shadow” provides accommodation for four crew members housed in two double cabins at the bow, a large mess crew with three refrigerators and three freezers, to increase the storage of the mother ship. The laundry area is equipped with three washing machines and three dryers to integrate the services of the main boat.
Two large cabins are located in the middle of the boat. The one to starboard is dedicated to the storage of sports equipment, such as wetsuits, kite sails, jackets and similar, while the one to port is equipped to wash sports equipment and accessories used during water sports.
All the necessary space for surfboards and kitesurf boards, diving equipment and inflatable water games can be found in the dedicated storage inside the lazarette. This area is accessible directly from the beach through the large stern hatch. The lazarette also houses a daily bathroom with a shower.
The yacht is scheduled for delivery in the first week of April.
