Ferretti 780, when technology is at the service of the cruise

The Ferretti 780 combines elements that have contributed to the success of past models with new technologies and materials, more efficient engines, improved onboard weight distribution and modern production processes. The boat sails well, with an impeccable trim and ever efficient manoeuvring, thanks to the drive-by-wire system connecting the steering stations to the electro-hydraulic systems in the engine room, as well as suitably-sized rudders, all managed by a well-calibrated control unit. FERRETTI 780 YACHT

Designed by Zuccon International Project, with state-of-the-art accommodation and technology solutions, it is a well-balanced craft that is easy to navigate, even without a crew, sophisticated in terms of furnishings, well-arranged in terms of systems and installations and carefully constructed with just the right materials to match the size of this yacht at the 24-metre limit.

At the rudder, the two powerful Man V12 engines, developing an outlet mechanical power of 1140 kW (1550 hp) offer the dynamism typical of smaller craft. The well-calibrated electro-hydraulic steering allows fine handling at high and slow speed with utmost safety.

Turning radius at the cruising speed of around 27 knots is approximately 50 metres. In facing waves, the hull provides comfort and safety even under demanding conditions thanks to the mass distribution and the deep V-shape hull at bow and 13° transom deadrise.

FERRETTI 780 yachtAt the helm, the boat is fun and navigation at 31 knots extremely comfortable. At a speed of 24 knots, the Ferretti 780 has a total fuel consumption of 411 litres per hour. It provides extraordinary comfort with extremely low noise levels and a total absence of vibrations anywhere in the boat.

Hull, deck and superstructure are laminated by infusion, a technological choice that allows the yard to guarantee more accurate manufacture and a finish with higher quality paintwork than the classic gel-coat, as well as lower weight, more structural robustness and greater composite longevity.

In terms of space, there is a lot of room dedicated for stowage of personal belongings, water toys and equipment and everything else that you would want on a cruise. The boat we tested was the first unit in the European version, but Stefano Amici, Ferretti’s project manager, informed us that the unit no. 2 is almost ready to launch.

It will be equipped with US outfitting and open galley, while the third one, already under construction, will be dedicated to the Asian market, with underdeck galley and karaoke lounge in place of the master cabin. FERRETTI 780 yacht 3

The boat we tested has four cabins and four bathrooms, plus two beds for the crew with private access and bathroom. Even the slightly raised internal helm station is well-matched to this craft with competitive cruising potential.

It has matt black finishes, a map area and night lights in a wheelhouse that enjoys excellent views on the horizon and instrumentation with LCD monitors and the latest generation monitoring and management system.

The Ferretti 780 is a modern motor yacht, both in terms of layout design and in technological contents, able to offer a combination of performance, ease of handling and comfort, making it interesting for both owners and charter agencies.
