Baglietto’s second launch of the year: hull #10242, the 41m superfast open motor yacht Francesca II, took to the water last Saturday.
The La Spezia shipyard’s motor yacht features a strong personality given to her by Francesco Paszkowski Design, who also designed the interior in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, and naval architecture by Bacigalupo. The gritty, tapered profile is enhanced by the champagne hull shade, which makes her beauty all the more striking.
“This yacht is unique, characterized by a high level of customization and remarkable performance, thanks to the three-engine, three-hydrojet propulsion system,” comments Fabio Ermetto, CCO of Baglietto. “Francesca II marks another important step in our long history and confirms our position as a world leader in the construction of high-performance aluminum yachts over 40 meters in length. A segment in which Baglietto has always firmly believed and of which it has always been a pioneer.”
Layout and deck
The layout is highly customized. All cabins are arranged on the lower deck: the owner’s stateroom is located amidships, the double VIP cabin is located forward, and the two guest cabins have single beds that can easily be converted into double beds.
On the same deck, towards the stern, are the crew quarters. Located next to the engine room and conveniently accessible from the main deck, they include the captain’s cabin and two double cabins for the crew, as well as galley and dinette. The aft garage, opening on one side, is used to stow a tender.
The main deck was designed to ensure a harmonious continuum between the interior and exterior areas. Two sliding doors, one aft and the other to one side, provide access to the dining and conversation area of the main salon. This latter is illuminated by natural light through two full-height windows that provide wonderfully close contact with the sea, even when remaining inside.
The wheelhouse is located forward the main salon. The aft cockpit houses a lounge area, while the sunbathing area on the sundeck is perfect for relaxing in front of the sea. Another sundeck area and a second conversation area have been arranged in the bow of this modern and incredibly functional yacht.
In contrast, the command station, preceded by a cosy lounging area, is located on the flybridge.
Equipped with 3 MTU 12V2000 M97 engines and 3 waterjets, hull #10242 can reach the remarkable top speed of 33 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. She is ABS-rated.
