In January, Arcadia Yachts’ order book rose to around 20 million Euros. A result that was achieved also thanks to the sale of the fourth Sherpa 80 XL.
Arcadia Yachts signs the contract for the sale of the fourth unit of the 24-metre Sherpa 80 XL (we talked about it in this article). This confirms the moment of great growth for the brand, characterized by an increase in the 2022 order book and by an increasing international response. The picture at the end of January shows the excellent results of the activities launched in recent months by Arcadia Yachts. Sherpa 80 XL is a 24-metre yacht that fully reflects the shipyard’s design philosophy: respect for the ecosystem, extensive use of solar energy and a continuous quest to reduce consumption.
Keeping faith with the Arcadia Yachts philosophy, this semi-planing hulled craft is based on total continuity between the exterior and interior, the latter conceived as large spaces surrounded by opening windows, which make it possible to limit the use of air conditioning, surmounted by the latest generation of solar panels, and flooded with natural light and sea breezes.
The sale of this vessel confirms the success of the new entrepreneurial strategy of the shipyard founded by Ugo Pellegrino which, less than a year after Francesco Frediani joined the company as commercial director, has led to a considerable increase in the number of owners won by its fleet, so much so that the order book as of January 2022 already amounts to around 20 million Euros.
By the end of 2022 as many as nine Arcadia Yachts are scheduled to be produced and delivered, thanks also to the 47,000 square metre production facility, which will sail in the Mediterranean Sea – in Italy, Greece, Turkey and the Balearic Islands – and in the waters off the emirate of Dubai. The profile of Arcadia Yachts’ boat enthusiasts is also changing: the origin is much more heterogeneous than in the past, as a result of the brand’s internationalization process, a key objective of the company’s strategy, which also foresees an adjustment of the models’ characteristics according to the destination countries. Expressions of interest are arriving not only from Dubai – which adds to the already consolidated areas such as the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Australia – but also from owners residing in the United States and Asia Pacific, so much so that the shipyard plans to announce partnerships with brand representatives in these areas.
Over the next few months, new A Line models will be unveiled, replacing products that have become iconic in the nautical world over the years. The first model is expected to touch the water during the spring/summer of 2023.
To further improve its positioning, also thanks to the increase in order volumes recorded, Vincenzo Duraccio was appointed as head of the “Quality” area. Mr Duraccio, in addition to having held positions in the production area in structured companies, has long been a researcher and lecturer at the engineering faculties of leading Italian universities in the fields of production, logistics and quality.
