The order book rises above 2 billion euros. Both of its brands, Azimut Yachts and Benetti, win many contracts
Thanks to a steady increase in orders culminating in 2021, where a new record was set in the order book that exceeded EUR 2 billion for the first time in the group’s history, Azimut Benetti was able to record a new successful season.
Both brands contributed to this positive trend with their diversified product range and their latest novelties, 38-metre Grande Trideck for Azimut Yachts and Oasis 40M and B.Now 50M for Benetti. The response to the desire of contemporary owners to enjoy spaces ever closer to the sea has driven sales of the 38-metre Grande Trideck, Azimut’s flagship, the first three-deck yacht with four terraces cascading over the sea. Sixteen examples of this model, recently awarded at the Miami Innovation Awards 2022, have already been sold.
As far as Benetti is concerned, the greatest satisfaction on the order book front came from the Oasis 40M, which excelled at the World Superyacht Awards in 2021, and the B.Now 50M, which set a sales record in the brand’s history. Of the two megayacht categories, in fact, 20 and 15 units respectively have already been ordered in almost three years. Record numbers, especially for the segment of yachts over 40 metres. A result made possible thanks to the Group’s ability to anticipate trends and best interpret the desires of new superyacht owners, who at this time favour a closer relationship with the sea and for whom Benetti has invented the Oasis Deck, which transforms traditional beach areas into real floating beaches.
Demand has also been buoyed by the greenest offer in the Benetti fleet. For some time the brand has been committed to mitigating the environmental impact of its yachts: even in the 37M segment like the B.Yond, out of the total nine ordered, there are no less than four projects for yachts with hybrid propulsion.
“I think the key to the success of these last few years has been, once again, the combination of courage and enthusiasm of the entire company to push the boundaries: in new models, in building excellence, in new sustainable technologies. Our commitment is repaid by the important results, which we will dedicate to introducing further incredible new products already in the pipeline, to sustainable growth and to our people,” said Giovanna Vitelli, Vice President of the Azimut Benetti Group.
