BUSINESS AVIATION IS A GROWING INDUSTRY WITH VERY SIGNIFICANT NUMBERS. Fabio Gamba, CEO of European Business Aviation Association, pointed out that the EBAA has undertaken to promote the value of the business aviation sector in Europe, where the sector employs about 400,000 people with a total economic impact of about 100 billion Euros. «But these figures do not tell the whole story», said Gamba, stressing that business aviation allows passengers to save up to five hours compared to the best alternatives offered by commercial carriers, allowing one to fly on over 25,000 European routes not served by commercial airlines. Every year in Geneva Ebace, European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition, gathers the major players in the industry. «This year’s show was a terrific success, characterized by a full exhibit floor, with lots of business getting done» said Fabio Gamba. «It is a confirmation that Ebace remains the most important industry event in Europe». The president of EBAA, Brian Humphries agrees: «We are very pleased with the level of enthusiasm that we’ve seen this year. In addition to the busy show floor and sold-out aircraft static display, our seminars and education sessions were well attended».
