Quick Spa has published videos with the aim of highlighting the reasons why the Quick Gyro stabiliser is the coolest system on the market.
According to Quick Spa, there are five main reasons why the Quick Gyro stabiliser might be more attractive than other systems.
Minimum maintenance: ordinary and extraordinary maintenance can be carried out without ever having to dismantle the stabiliser from the boat, both because all the components requiring maintenance are located in easily accessible positions and because there is no water cooling system, which inevitably makes maintenance activities more complex.
Efficiency: the spool up and spool down speeds are high. In just 25 minutes it reaches 100% of the rpm required for stabilisation, but you can feel the first “stabilising effects” even in less than 20 minutes, when the unit reaches 80% of rpm.
On-board installation: installation is worry-free, which is why it’s so easy even when refitting. Simply attach the stabiliser to a base plate attached to the hull with just a few screws (8 screws for the smaller sizes). There’s no need to haul the boat away, because the Quick Gyro is compact and can easily fit through hatches.
Natural dissipation: the natural cooling system involves a lack of exchange with seawater, which can create a number of problems with water recirculation and oxidation, especially once you have returned with your boat to port. A vacuum environment or forced cooling is not necessary for a high-performance machine. The horizontal axis of rotation allows the weight to be distributed over several bearings instead of just one, resulting in an increase in mass size and a decrease in rotation speed, thus limiting heat production. It’s very easy to prevent the Quick Gyro from derating: just set up the installation in a compartment where the temperature does not exceed 55 °C.
