Outer Reef Yachts launched the 640 Classic Azure, which will make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2019. The motoryacht will have an autonomy of 1,000 nm at 10 knots.
Based on a semi-displacement hull design and built to CE Class A (open ocean) classification, the 640 Azure by Outer Reef Yachts will have a cruising range of 1,000 nm at 10 knots. A circumnavigation from Antibes to Sardinia or the Amalfi coastline, without interruption, is completely feasible. A range of up to 1,400 nm can be achieved at a displacement speed of up to 8 knots. The maximum speed with standard engines is 14 knots, that rises to 20 knots with the optional motorization.
On the main deck, an aft galley covers 35% of available space in the deckhouse, complemented with domestic sized kitchen appliances. The dining area can accommodate up to ten guests at a time. The galley can be turned into an open-air café and entertainment area by opening electric glass walls.
The flybridge features the innovative Bridge Viewdeck, an extra deck area created ahead of the helm station, fully accessible and with seating for two. Clear glass surrounds ensure full protection from the wind, while offering a 180-degree panoramic view over the foredeck and to the surroundings.
Trevor de Faoite, European Sales Director of Outer Reef, commented, “The launch of the new 640 Classic Azure is largely in response to requests from our discerning clientele who desire the perfect yacht for cruising the Mediterranean and beyond. She is an extremely stable yacht capable of cruising for days on end without refueling, while providing room for crew, expansive outdoor spaces to enjoy, and the ability to cater to friends and family within the spacious galley and aft-deck entertainment zone.”
