D-Marin: a new phase for the Molo Brin in Olbia

Since 2 August 2026, the marina dedicated to maxi yachts, situated in the heart of Olbia, has welcomed its first vessels, thanks to 20 berths for yachts ranging from 40 to 150 metres. It will be fully operational by early summer 2027.

The project begins with the first phase of a major regeneration, transforming an underused part of the city’s seafront into a modern hub for boating and hospitality. Scheduled for completion in June 2027, it will boost Olbia’s position as a gateway to northern Sardinia and the Mediterranean. The work at Molo Brin follows D-Marin’s recent acquisition of Marina di Olbia Yacht Service and Molo Brin, which expands the group’s presence in Italy and enhances its collection of premium Mediterranean marinas.

“The launch of operations at Molo Brin marks a significant milestone for D-Marin and the city of Olbia”, said Andrea De Santis, COO of D-Marin. “The vision and commitment of Gian Pietro Sirca, a board member of MOYS, have breathed new life into this strategic area of the city’s waterfront, enabling the creation of a facility dedicated to large yachts. Molo Brin will offer yacht owners and crews an exclusive base from which to experience Olbia, Sardinia and the Mediterranean. The facility’s opening this summer was made possible by close collaboration with local authorities and institutions. This is the first step towards the project’s completion, scheduled for 2027, which will create a new destination for the city and the international yachting community”.

With a maximum draught of 6.5 metres and four additional berths for service tenders up to 15 metres, Molo Brin will be able to accommodate some of the world’s largest yachts, thanks to its prime Mediterranean location.

Currently, Molo Brin provides key services such as mooring assistance, security, surveillance, and car parking. Access is limited to yacht owners and crews currently moored here. Located in the Port of Olbia, Molo Brin benefits from an ideal position, just a brief walk from the city centre, granting yacht owners and crews convenient access to shops, restaurants, amenities, and main attractions. Its close proximity to Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport and the ferry terminal also facilitates smooth transport connections for guests and crews.

From Olbia, yachts can easily reach some of the Mediterranean’s most renowned destinations, including the Costa Smeralda, Tavolara, the Maddalena Archipelago and Corsica.

The summer opening was made possible by the rapid completion and testing of the offshore works. The Municipality of Olbia, the Port System Authority of the Sardinian Sea and the Olbia Harbour Master’s Office worked closely with D-Marin to enable the facility to become operational during the 2026 summer season.

Once completed, the project will comprise the D-Marin offices, new visitor and reception areas, and spaces dedicated to catering, helping to enhance the entire Olbia waterfront.

The digital services and benefits reserved for D-Marin customers will also be rolled out gradually at Molo Brin, including the D-Marin App for managing moorings, smart technologies for monitoring boats, and exclusive services for the Group’s customers.
