Cantiere delle Marche has completed the launch of Tremenda, a 45-metre custom explorer yacht formerly known as Project T, chosen by an experienced owner who wanted to tailor a vessel to his needs. The launch took place in Ancona, in the presence of the owner and his family.
The design of Tremenda was entrusted to Giorgio M. Cassetta, who gave the yacht clear lines and a profile characterised by an almost vertical bow extending to a transom with a spacious beach area. The interior architecture was designed to reflect the spirit of the project, with rooms that reflect the character and aesthetic style required by the owner.
Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO of CdM, emphasised how teamwork played a central role in the construction of Tremenda, stating that the collaboration with Giorgio M. Cassetta led to the birth of the new RAW series and further shared projects. Buonpensiere also expressed gratitude to all those involved, including Arrow Yacht and FGI Yacht Group for their support at key stages of the project.
Giorgio M. Cassetta described the design experience as stimulating, praising the precision and attention to detail required by the owners, whose input enabled the development of a yacht true to the original vision.
Technical and Functional Features
Tremenda features a well-designed layout that optimises interior spaces, offering large windows that encourage visual connection with the marine environment. The yacht accommodates up to eight guests in four suites located on the lower deck, while the owners’ area is located forward on the main deck. It has a full-beam flat equipped with a walk-in wardrobe, separate bathrooms, and a private lounge.
The naval engineering solutions were entrusted to Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec, who optimised the performance of the displacement hull to ensure efficiency and stability when sailing. Equipped with two MAN V12-1400 engines, Tremenda reaches a maximum speed of 14.5 knots and a range of over 4000 nautical miles, making it suitable for long oceanic voyages.
