Numarine, a leading shipyard known for its innovative designs, is set to showcase its first-ever hybrid superyacht, the 30XP, at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024. This groundbreaking vessel marks a significant step towards eco-friendly yachting and has already garnered significant interest, with four units sold prior to its official launch.
The 30XP stands out as the first Numarine model to feature diesel-electric propulsion, a testament to the company’s commitment to sustainability. This hybrid system offers a cleaner, more efficient cruising experience without compromising performance. The model was first introduced during Numarine’s 20th anniversary celebrations in September 2022 and has since attracted a dedicated following among existing Numarine owners.
Scandinavian-inspired interiors
Designed by Can Yalman, the 30XP boasts a raised pilothouse design that maximizes interior space. The interiors, created in collaboration with Istanbul-based Ofist Design Studio, reflect a Scandinavian aesthetic focused on simplicity, minimalism, and functionality. Ömer Malaz, Numarine’s founder and chairman, emphasized the importance of a homely feel on the water, achieved through sustainable and thoughtfully designed interiors.
The 30XP’s layout is adaptable to meet the needs of individual owners, offering ample space for outdoor dining on the aft deck and a covered sundeck. The yacht’s design fosters a strong connection with the outdoors, featuring a private balcony off the master suite and an office space with large windows for a serene working environment. The semi-open beach club at the stern, elevated by raising the deck above, provides a dedicated lounging area just three steps above the main deck level.
Three fold-down platforms expand the beach club’s deck space to 43 square meters, and a side-loading tender bay accommodates a 6.25-meter diesel tender, enhancing the yacht’s versatility.
Comfortable and luxurious accommodations
The 30XP accommodates up to 10 guests across five ensuite staterooms, including a master stateroom on the main deck forward and four guest cabins on the lower deck. The master suite features floor-to-ceiling windows, cutouts in the bulwarks to maximize sea views, and an optional fold-out balcony. Crew accommodations for up to five members are located forward on the lower deck, ensuring comfort and privacy for all on board.
Powered by either a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system or a conventional drive train with twin 560-hp MAN engines, the 30XP offers a maximum speed of approximately 13 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots. The yacht boasts an estimated range of 3000 nautical miles at 11 knots, making it a capable and efficient explorer.
Save the date
The official press presentation of the 30XP will take place at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 on September 12 at 11 am, on board the Numarine 30XP. This event promises to be a highlight for yachting enthusiasts and industry professionals alike, showcasing Numarine’s dedication to innovation and sustainability in yacht design.
