Just over a year after the launch of the wally101 Full Custom, the new wallywind110 was launched for the first time on Saturday 1 June. This event marks the beginning of the wallywind performance cruiser range, a project that officially started in 2022. The range will also include the wallywind130 and wallywind150. In addition, a second wallywind110 is already under construction.
Stefano de Vivo, Managing Director of Wally, commented: ‘The launch of this first semi-custom sailing model since Wally became part of the Ferretti Group in 2019 represents a very significant moment for us. Not only does it take place in the brand’s 30th anniversary year, but it confirms once again how relevant the sailing superyacht sector is for Wally. It is a segment in which we have always been at the forefront, and that is why we want to continue to anticipate market trends by creating yachts capable of becoming true benchmarks for sailing and design.’
The launching of the wallywind110 was a festive occasion, attended by the management of Wally and Ferretti Group, the project team and the workers, together with their families. Everyone was able to admire the new superyacht touching the sea for the first time.
Elegance and innovation
The bright metallic paint with blue highlights on the carbon hull of the wallywind110, designed by judel/vrolijk & co, impressed those present. The paint’s ability to change tone with the changing light added further elegance to this new Wally jewel. The launch also offered the opportunity to admire the special deck layout, developed by Wally’s in-house design team in collaboration with the Santa Maria Magnolfi studio.
Innovationand performance
Luca Bassani, Founder and Chief Designer of Wally, explained: ‘The wallywind110 is not simply a superyacht that promises great performance. Wally has in fact always been synonymous with performance, but also with design. The careful study of the deck spaces of the wallywind110 has in fact resulted in an 80 square metre cockpit completely free of technical equipment, comparable to that of a sailing yacht at least 60 metres long. The owner and his guests can therefore relax on sofas, sunbeds and seats. Not forgetting the two other lounge areas, which are developed respectively on the ‘terrace overlooking the sea’ at the extreme stern and on the foredeck.’
A bright future
The launch of the wallywind110 represents an important step towards the future of the Wallywind performance cruiser range. With the wallywind130 and wallywind150 on the way, Wally continues to consolidate its position as a leader in the sailing superyacht sector, offering innovative design solutions that meet the needs of the most demanding owners.
