Baglietto launches the third T52 ‘Akula’

Baglietto celebrates another important milestone with the launching of the third T52, christened ‘Akula’. The technical ceremony, which took place last week under the watchful eyes of the shipyard’s workers, marks the next step towards the official delivery to her owner, scheduled to coincide with the opening of the summer season.

The yacht stands out for her powerful and aggressive character, highlighted by her striking dark grey colour. The signature of Francesco Paszkowski Design for the exteriors and Enrico Gobbi, Team for Design, for the interiors lend a touch of refinement and prestige to the project. The construction process was expertly guided by Italian Yacht Group, the owner’s representative, together with Fabrizio Loi of Inter Yachting LLC, as surveyor.

Innovation and Tradition

“Akula”, like her sisters, stands out for some surprising innovations, while retaining the distinctive features that have made the T52 line famous. These include the open stern with a beach club on three levels and the sky lounge on the upper deck, which offers a breathtaking view of the sea thanks to the fully retractable windows. Particularly interesting is the aft area, transformed into a comfortable gym, with the two jet skis and a 5.5-metre tender positioned forward.

“We are going through an exciting period of deliveries,” says Fabio Ermetto, CCO of Baglietto. “This year we will see as many as four T52s and two yachts from the DOM133 line take to the water. Each yacht, although belonging to one line, is a unique and customised masterpiece, the result of a close collaboration with the owner that finds in the launching ceremony the culmination of a long and rewarding journey.”
