She took to the water two days ago LEE, the fourth example of DOM133 designed by Stefano Vafiadis, who also did the interiors in collaboration with the owner’s designer, Tehila Bracha Magyar Shelef.
Hull no. 10244 maintains the characteristics of the line: suitable for trans-oceanic sailing, the vessel has a shallow draft (2.10 m – 7ft) that make her perfect for sailing even in shallow waters. The interior volumes are very generous thanks to a width of 8.70 m (29 ft), with living spaces and solutions not usual for boats of this size. One example is the layout of the main deck, designed and developed, also for this hull, to ensure optimal flow between interior and exterior areas, while enhancing the convivial atmosphere.
The interiors
The main salon, on this deck, features full-height opening panoramic windows that make it a natural extension of the aft cockpit. Additional noteworthy feature is the original panoramic glass staircase integrated into the structure of the main deck. Particularly noteworthy feature on the main salon is a small garden made of succulents placed under the staircase and protected on the inside by the glass supporting the staircase itself.
Carrara marble floors, precious woods such as Platano and other tropical essences, stainless steel inserts, even on curved supports that are very complicated to make, characterize the interiors of this yacht that is characterized by the particular refinement of materials.
From the main salon, proceeding towards the bow, the owner’s cabin features a folding balcony, an accessory of great visual and functional impact, which allows an extension of about 2 meters towards the outside of the cabin itself, thus allowing to enjoy a wonderful view of the sea.
The cabin repurposes the same essences as the entire boat, as does the master bathroom, which makes extensive use of mirrors and marble.
The guest sleeping area is concentrated on the lower deck and consists of two double cabins aft and one twin. A third VIP cabin with a double bed is located alongside the guest cabin with very generous spaces, such as to include a small work table and large TV.
Outdoor Spaces
The sky lounge on the upper deck is very familiar and pleasant, certainly less formal than the main salon. Compared to the DOM line that preceded Lee, this area offers lowered windows and a large side bar cabinet that also supports the outdoor dining area, consisting of a large circular table, ideal for dinners with friends or family. The large forward bookcase contains a television/cinema and also many shelves to put books and art objects. The large L-shaped seating ensures an optimal view of the cinema while respecting the windows, providing a panoramic view of the outside.
Both the upper deck and the sun deck are very large in terms of space, a feature that enhances one of the boat’s strengths.
The sun deck offers a sliding perforated sunroof, a shading system that could be called a “cabrio,” to use a term stolen from the automotive industry, which, together with an expressly designed bar and a panoramic pool with a large bow sundeck, making the space ideal for enjoying the outdoors.
Also noteworthy is the integrated wheelhouse, with the typical DOM design featuring the stylized Seagull from Baglietto’s Logo revisited in a contemporary key. RGB lighting details can create a magical light scenery as well as help the captain during navigation by avoiding annoying reflections on the windows.
The 2-level beach club with an infinity pool completes the unique layout.
This example is also equipped with two Caterpillar C32 engines that enable the yacht to reach the considerable top speed of 17 knots.
