Azimut, double debut with Azimut Grande 26M and 36M

Grande 26M and Grande 36M will make their debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2022.

Azimut revolutionizes the design of the interiors, creating a new Sea View Terrace on the cockpit extension for Grande 26M and introducing, with Grande 36M, the first semi-walkaround upper deck that extends almost to the extreme bow on a single level.

Grande 26M surprises thanks to the Fold-Up Sea View Terrace obtained from the opening of the stern door which, when rotated upwards, becomes a natural extension of the cockpit, bringing it closer to the sea and the open air.

Thanks to this design intuition, the cockpit is transformed into a veritable terrace on the water with great charm, inspired by that of the larger Trideck. The space thus created, designed to be versatile and meet all the owner’s needs, changes thanks to transformable furnishings and becomes an open-air lounge in which to relax during the day or a dining room with an unobstructed view of the sea and a walkaround table accessible on all four sides.

The interiors have been conceived to offer a master suite on the main deck with floor-to-ceiling windows, a distinctive feature of designer Alberto Mancini, four guest cabins below deck and a crew area in the bow, directly accessible from the galley and side walkway: a solution made possible by the intuition of designing a partially raised wheelhouse.

With the Grande 36M, Azimut introduces for the first time the concept of a semi-walkaround upper deck that runs from the stern to almost the extreme bow, always on a single level. For the first time, the upper deck becomes a physical space that extends along the entire length of the boat. Merging with the skylounge, it creates an area without barriers between interior and exterior. In the bow there is a whirlpool bath made entirely of glass and a sunbathing area.

Sustainability|Green Efficiency Program

In accordance with Azimut’s commitment, which since 2015 has been resolutely pursuing the Green Efficiency Program, the Grande 26M and Grande 36M combine innovation with an ethical approach aimed at reducing environmental impact. Carbon fibre and vinylester resin reduce the weight of the superstructures by 30%, making it possible to optimise installed propulsion power to the benefit of lower fuel consumption.

Grande 26M makes use of a new POD propulsion system that allows a reduction in consumption of up to 20% compared to a traditional boat of the same size. Grande 36M, on the other hand, uses the latest evolution of the D2P® – Displacement to Planing – hull, designed by Pierluigi Ausonio of Studio P.L.A.N.A. together with the Azimut|Benetti R&D department and already successfully adopted by Grande Trideck, which is currently the best in class model in terms of efficiency and consumption. Thanks to a refinement of the part that cuts through the water (wavepiercer), the D2P® hull makes it possible to contain consumption levels, with peaks of efficiency that can reach 40% at displacement speeds compared to traditional hard-chine hulls.
