28-metre Explorer yacht Venera by Van der Valk has been filmed undertaking sea trials in the North Sea. The yacht, featuring a Raised Pilothouse, powered through the waves at 21 knots of maximum speed. Delivery is scheduled for spring 2021.
Designed by Guido de Groot, the all-aluminum Explorer combines classic lines in a bold profile that accentuates her distinctive fast-displacement hull. Ordered by a repeat client, the yacht includes a comprehensive range of custom options, including a unique interior.
All the living spaces are located on the same level. Directly connected to the beach club, the saloon features a large sauna area with panoramic views. The interior style has an industrial flavor with exposed structural components, rugged design elements, and a color scheme that blends over from the exterior.
The main deck aft will feature a removable hardtop and a Jacuzzi. If needed, this space is convertible into a store for a Jet Ski and many more water toys, launchable via a davit crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 800kg.
Venera can accommodate up to ten guests split between five staterooms. These include the main deck owner’s suite, two VIP doubles and two twin cabins, while the aft crew quarters can host up to four people.
Powered by twin MAN V12 1650 hp engines, she is fitted with zero-speed gyroscopic stabilizers for optimal comfort.
