Van der Valk’s fleet has a new member, the 32-meter Jangada 2. It is the fifth and largest to date of the Raised Pilothouse custom-series line.
Jangada 2 is the result of a close partnership between the owners and designers Nick Top and Guido de Groot, as well as the Van der Valk team. These regular clients had already had experience with the Raised Pilothouse line, and they wanted to make sure that their new yacht is even more customized to their requirements.
The specific wishes of the owners included a VIP suite bathroom on the main deck that could be closed off for use by guests during the day without entering the bedroom itself, additions to the crew accommodations and a more spacious galley. The latter was made possible by optimizing the functional area under the pilothouse.
Jangada 2 has a minimalistic interior style based primarily on whitewashed European oak. The flybridge deck has an outdoor dining area, a sunbathing space, an all-aluminum hardtop providing ample shade and a smart wet bar.
The main deck aft is spacious with curved glass sliding doors to the lounge, with a VIP suite forward. The full-beam owner’s stateroom is on the lower deck and includes his & her wardrobes and a dedicated office area. There are three other cabins able to accommodate seven adults and children, bringing the possible guest total to eleven.
Jangada 2 will debut at the Cannes boat show in September.
