UK luxury yacht manufacturer Princess Yachts made waves in Cannes with its seven yachts line-up and revealed further information on the latest member of the Y Class, the all-new Y80. The 25-metre motor yacht features multiple configurable layout options to adapt to customers’ lifestyles.

Now in its 45t h year, the Cannes Yachting Festival took place at Vieux Port, with the Princess stand located at Jetee 114.

Princess V50 Open

Designed by the Princess Design Studio in collaboration with naval architects Olesinski and Italian design house, Pininfarina, the V50 has been created using all-new hull, deck and canopy moulds to redefine one of the core models in the range. At the heart of the new deep-V hull are compact, yet highly efficient, twin Volvo IPS650 engines that can deliver maximum speeds of over 30 knots.

Princess’s design team have designed the cockpit arrangement and bathing platform to maximise outdoor living space, with an elongated canopy which provides a comfortable shaded area to escape the heat of the sun whilst being in a position to fully appreciate the yacht’s balanced performance. The main deck features a U-shaped dining area with an outdoor galley opposite. Further forward, the helmsman and navigator are perfectly positioned, the bespoke twin helm seats raised for clear sightlines through the single-pane windscreen.

Princess Yachts’ ‘Superfly’ X Class range re-defines the practical potential and lifestyle options aboard with a complete re-think of yacht architecture. Challenged with setting a new standard of layout excellence, which is defined by large, adaptable spaces that can be used and formatted in numerous ways, it offers the owner and guests a uniquely flexible boating lifestyle.

Both the flybridge and main deck interior space cover almost the full length of the yacht, creating the Super Flybridge – the X Class’s defining characteristic. This new layout provides 10% more outdoor space and 40% more indoor space than a traditional motor yacht.

The flagship of the S Class range, the S78 perfectly balances luxury and scintillating performance. A resin-infused hull delivers an impressive performance with speeds up to 39 knots. When at anchor, the deck areas feature a hydraulic bathing platform and a 4.45m tender garage with an integrated tender launch system to become the perfect base for watersports.

The interior inspires relaxation with a range of exclusive furnishings, ambient lighting and a cavernous main deck saloon, seamlessly connected to the outside world through full-length side windows.

The S66’s sporting credentials are underlined by a lightweight deep-V hull coupled with the latest MAN V12-1400 engines to deliver 38 knots. Princess Design Studio’s design language is evidenced by the sweeping panoramic glazing sections on both the hull and superstructure.

Designed for outdoor lifestyles, the S66 offers appointed deck areas, which include a spacious foredeck seating area, whilst her hydraulic bathing platform and 3.3m tender garage become the perfect base for water sports.

Like its larger siblings, the S62 is built upon Princess’s renowned V-shaped hull and coupled with the latest MAN V8 1200 engines, meaning outstanding seakeeping and speeds of up to 38 knots. Designed from the outset for a sporting lifestyle, an electro-hydraulic bathing platform creates a convenient launch system for a 3.3m tender, a jet ski, or simply a secluded base from which to swim.

The S62 is designed for entertaining alfresco with an aft galley and open-plan dining area. Below deck, six guests are comfortably accommodated across an en-suite full-beam owner’s stateroom and two further guest cabins with the option of an additional crew cabin aft.

The V55 sports yacht nestles in the heart of the iconic V Class line-up. Her innovative V-shaped hull provides the foundation to the V55’s agility and ability to deliver on a clear brief for the modern sports yacht owner’s demands – elegance of form, quality of materials, perfect practicality and inspiring dynamics.

At the heart of the V hull’s stability is the compact, efficient, high-power twin Volvo D13 engines that deliver up to 2,000 mhp combined and a top speed of over 35 knots. The result is an intoxicating combination of engine performance, physical dimensions and sea-keeping behaviour – classic V Class traits. With new standards of refinement in interior fixtures, fittings and definition of space, and a striking exterior design language recognisable by the new exterior V Class windows and rakish profile, there is a clear purpose of design.

The V40’s ultra-responsive handling and thrilling acceleration is something to behold, especially when the sunroof is open, creating over 5 square metres of open space, it’s a true open boating experience.

Progressive lines have been created with new port light window glazing running almost the entire length of the hull flooding the saloon and cabins with light. Interior highlights include a pewter grey and off-white palette that is both modern and elegant depicting the new unmistakable V Class look with draped contrast styling utilised on upholstery throughout.

The all-new Y80 is the latest addition to the Y Class Motor Yachts range. Joining the Y72, the recently announced new Y85 and the upcoming flagship of the range, the Princess Y95, the Y80 features elegant refined proportions and details with a clean, timeless aesthetic and exceptional standard and optional specifications that have become synonymous with the Y Class range. All Y Class yachts are appointed to suit formal or social occasions, elevating them from alternative flybridge boats and providing a sophisticated experience for both owners’ and guests.

Designed and crafted in the brand’s home of Plymouth, England, the all-new Y80’s exterior styling follows the new direction of the Y Class design language with a continuous window line graphic and elegant ‘S’ shaped hardtop, seamlessly connecting the flybridge to the main deck.
