Barcelona will host, from August to October 2024, the prestigious 37th America’s Cup, the oldest and most important nautical competition in the world. With a year to go before it starts, the city is already preparing the event and has started the countdown for its celebration with the progressive arrival of the different teams that will compete. The British team INEOS Britannia this week sailed for the first time in Barcelona, they have chosen Marina Port Vell to locate its boat.

Marina Port Vell Barcelona, Preferred Marina of the 37th Copa América
At the beginning of the year, Marina Port Vell Barcelona was named Preferred Marina for Superyachts for the 37th America’s Cup. Marina Port Vell is an infrastructure specialized in the super yacht segment that has a unique and unbeatable location in the center of the city of Barcelona and next to the regatta course, which makes it the perfect choice to host the event. One year ahead of the competition, more than 60 superyachts have already requested mooring at its facilities to attend this sporting event, further reinforcing the position of the city of Barcelona as a hub for superyachts in the Mediterranean and as a reference destination in this sector.
During the competition, Marina Port Vell will serve the superyachts and boats that visit Barcelona for the event. With the aim of offering a unique and memorable experience to customers, the marina has appointed a team focused on providing high value-added services and plans to multiply its resources to meet the expected high demand, generating a notable economic and social impact on the environment. In addition, the agreement will allow Marina Port Vell to sell the official merchandising of the 37th America’s Cup event at its facilities, for which a commercial space will be created that will offer customers an exclusive shopping environment.
