The new Tankoa T560 Apache joins the fleet of boutique Italian shipyard Tankoa. A fully customized 56-meter yacht, currently under construction, for an experienced client who wanted a truly unique superyacht.
Developed by designer Alberto Mancini, the new Tankoa T560 Apache draws inspiration from the design of the 76-meter T760 Apache conceived by Mancini himself and first unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2021.

“The challenge was to replicate a design inspired by the 76-meter while retaining similar proportions, keeping the yacht sleek and streamlined, but still offering ample interior space with features usually found on yachts over 1,000 gross tons,” says Claudio Corvino, sales and business developer manager at Tankoa.
“The tricky part was maximizing interior space while limiting compromises as much as possible, creating a sort of retreat reminiscent of a beach house, with ample outdoor space and without the formality sometimes found on yachts of this size,” Corvino continues. “The result is an incredible yacht with amazing spaces, and with a design that not only meets all the requirements of our American clients, but also demonstrates the capability, flexibility and ingenuity of the Tankoa team.”

Development
Development of the Tankoa T560 initially took place at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2022. The broker responsible for the sale is J.D. Crawford of Fraser Yachts. The contract signing was successfully completed in early August 2023. Fraser Yachts will also be involved in project management throughout construction.
“In the first meeting with the client, we prioritized their unique needs. After exploring market options, we found in Tankoa the perfect partner to realize the client’s vision. Tankoa’s deep understanding led to the successful design of a totally custom yacht,” says J.D. Crawford of Fraser USA. “This collaboration highlights my dual role as a broker in the sale but also a representative of the owner.”

The owner’s suite
The bridge deck offers unparalleled views while sailing. The location of the main wheelhouse also frees up the upper deck, allowing the inclusion of the master stateroom.
The suite is an interior studio apartment of 50 square meters. There is also the option of a large private deck complete with a 5.5-meter flying pool and an outdoor seating area.
Aft, the upper salon opens to a large terrace with outdoor dining area for 12 people. On the deck below, the common areas maintain a beach chic atmosphere with a salon aft and a convertible dining area forward. The layout also includes five guest suites, all located forward on the main deck level.

A “beach chic” style
With guest cabins located on the main deck, the crew has a generous area for their own accommodations on the lower deck. The central area is dedicated to the owner and his guests, with a spa and gym. The tender garage is located forward on the main deck, below the owner’s deck. A 7-meter tender, rescue boat and sea toys can be accommodated here.

The owners’ desire was to recreate a “beach chic” style. This was achieved with a beach club and an aft terrace flush with the water with a 4-meter glass pool. With the addition of side terraces, a relaxation area of as much as 90 square meters is created. Connecting the outer and inner parts of the beach club is a smoked glass bulkhead. The main aft deck serves more as an upper terrace than a separate area for guests.
A continuous flow
What really sets the T560 Apache apart is the feeling of unity between interior and exterior, a welcoming and informal layout that is accompanied by seamless lines that can brilliantly conceal the 840GT’s impressive volume. To have been able to transfer many of the key features of the 76-meter to this new yacht demonstrates the strength of Alberto Mancini’s original concept and design skills.

“The design of the T560 Apache brings key features of the original 76-meter T760 Apache concept to a 56-meter yacht, accommodating the needs of an American client who liked the larger concept but wanted the same features in a smaller hull length,” says Alberto Mancini, founder and principal of AM Yacht Design.
“My designers and I focused particularly on the upper-deck master suite, which not only offers 50 square meters of interior space, but also combines it with a private 85-square-meter bow terrace that includes an incredible 5.5-meter all-glass pool,” Mancini adds. “It’s a feature we borrowed directly from the larger model and were able to achieve it in the T560 without compromise. We are incredibly proud of the overall design of the yacht.”
