T42 TEAM FOR DESIGN project sums up the highly complex work that saw Enrico Gobbi involved in the quest to achieve perfectly balanced forms

Design plays an increasingly central role in the development of aesthetic and functional solutions in this yacht. Enrico Gobbi and his team have optimised form, materials and structure with great efficiency. 

The perfect balance of forms and living solutions is achieved thanks to the flawless interaction between design and technology.

From the moment that the idea came about right up until its completion, the project involved a lively exchange regarding the opportunities that design offers in the management of materials, technology and structures.

This creative process resulted in the T42, a yacht that encompasses numerous details and spaces typical of a longer hull.

Enrico Gobbi stated: «The three angled windows that distinguish the sides make the profile more dynamic, lightening the volumes of the superstructures. As well as characterising the exterior, they open up the three main areas in the yacht to the landscape. The lounge on the main deck, the master cabin and the lounge on the upper deck have been designed to open up significantly onto the outside».
