SY KAZE unveiled during St. Barth Bucket Regatta

The 56 meters sailing yacht Kaze is a concept developed by FM Architettura in collaboration with the renowned French Naval Architect and Designer Philippe Briand.

Francesca Quintiliani from FM Architettura explains: “When I imagined and designed the interiors of Kaze, I wanted to achieve an ideal purity and a connection to nature, without taking away the feeling of being on a sailing boat and nowhere else.”

“We wanted to create a fluid connection between areas. The main saloon, the veranda, and the aft open area become one beautiful living space that gives fluidity and creates a seamless succession of indoor and outdoor spaces giving an airy and light feeling to the whole vessel. The mast is also surrounded by glass and creates a magical view on the sails.”

Kaze boasts a 68 square-meter sundeck with a swimming pool aft, and foldable wings to expand her exterior space.

Her bow also has 58 square meters of usable deck space, with easy access to her spacious tender garage that can hold two 6-meter tenders. Moreover,  the yacht has been envisioned with energy regeneration solutions that will allow Kaze to produce and store its own kinetic energy.

Inspired by the Japanese word for wind, Kaze harnesses wind power for her propulsion to create a hybrid sailing yacht.
