For Pietarsaari’s new 30-meter yacht, the Swan 98 by German Frers and Misa Poggi, which is scheduled to make its public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2020, will be launched this summer. It marks the debut of a new generation of Nautor’s Swan maxi boats.
As with all “swans”, the construction is extremely sophisticated. Both the hull and the deck are made with internal and external skins in pre-preg carbon fiber with epoxy resin on a Corecell foam core. A construction that offers maximum structural rigidity and the lowest possible weight.
As far as the interiors are concerned, two basic fittings will be available, with the choice between having the owner’s cabin aft or bow, and four different “moods” for the decor. The number one hull will be built with the owner’s cabin aft and will be fitted out in a traditional blue, with dark oak furniture and straw matt finish. In the central saloon, cognac-coloured leather panels will alternate with wooden panels cut “in quarters”.
“Nautor’s Swan is excited to present the new era of Maxi Swan with Swan 98 to the world next September – said Giovanni Pomati, CEO of the Group – it is a modern masterpiece of design and construction, the perfect mix of performance, elegance and luxury. It is destined to become a timeless superyacht”.
The first presentation of the Swan 98’s design was in 2018, during the Monaco Yacht Show, and so far three units have been sold. Nautor’s Swan currently has five maxi yachts in the yard.
