Solaris Power 55 is the result of the work carried out by a team of excellence. In collaboration with the Solaris Shipyard, Norberto Ferretti took care of the concept and product development. The design of the whole project was entrusted to Brunello Acampora and Victory design. In the last few years, Solaris has created a specific production unit for motoryachts, as well as the famous one for sailing boats.
It is a lobster boat capable of exceeding 35 knots in top speed, but able to provide excellent performance and low fuel consumption even at 10/12 knots. We tested it in the version with two Volvo D11 engines of 725 hp each and IPS transmissions. We appreciated the handling, the simplicity with which it turns and the soft passage on the wave. The hull is made for navigation in all weather conditions. It is a category A with very marine characteristics. The bow is very flared, the freeboard is quite high and the passers-by are low. From bow to stern you can move safely. Always well protected from splashes and waves.
Above the head there is a sun top accessible from a ladder that is in the dinette. The cockpit is thus more clear and, thanks to the folding terraces, everything is available as leaving. The version we tested features a layout with a full beam master cabin amidships . There is also a version with three cabins. The choice of placing the galley in the lower deck, allows to have the saloon all available for the dashboard and the comfort of guests.
Solaris Power 55 is the firstborn, but the family plans to expand further. The complete range will also include a 46′ in three versions, open, hard top and fly, a 65′, a 76′ and the flagship that will measure 88 feet. The programme is tight because, as Norberto Ferretti tells us, the range will be completed in just two years.
