Sirena Yachts presents its new line of superyachts

Istanbul-based shipyard Sirena Marine has announced that its range of vessels will soon include superyachts. The new line currently includes three models, of 35, 42 and 50 metres respectively (opening image).

The new Sirena superyacht line will be built in steel and aluminium at the yard’s Istanbul facility. For the exteriors, the projects are signed by Italian designer Luca Vallebona and naval architecture by Dutch firm Van Oossanen Naval Architects. The interior of each vessel will be customisable.

“Sirena has been overwhelmed with gratitude for the response that our customers around the world have unfailingly given to the presentation of each new model. From the Sirena 58 to the Sirena 88, via the Sirena 68 and Sirena 78, our goal has been to deliver boats that exceed expectations in every size category we build. Now we are ready to take the next step, which is why we are pushing the 100-foot mark,” says Sirena Yachts President İpek Kıraç.

The launch of the line comes after the announcement at the last Cannes Yachting Festival. The numbers speak of more than 100 yachts produced in six years in the 58- to 88-foot range. Now the approach is to shift the focus to the superyacht segment as well.

Çağın Genç, managing director of Sirena Yachts, said, “We have achieved a great expectation from customers and a great production experience that has led us to translate our expertise into the Superyacht range. Our goal is to carry the spacious interior, attention to detail, efficient and seaworthy hull and customer-oriented approach into our new superyacht line”.

The focus on interior spaces

As a constant feature throughout the new range, the yard will also maintain a focus on interior spaces on its superyachts. Facilities include folding wing decks, multi-level gathering spaces with pools and sundecks, and deck areas arranged for safe and convenient access for both crew and guests.

Sirena’s superyachts will be sporty, elegant and offer large open spaces,’ Luca Vallebona said. “I would like to highlight two references to the past that I have used for the concepts. The first is the use of words like patio and pergola that come directly from the classical Latin era, as I am fascinated by architecture. The other is the bottom line of the side window of the main deck, which cannot be seen as anything other than a sheer line of a beautiful J Class, a timeless symbol of luxury and sportiness’.

Privacy and comfort

Another notable feature of all yachts in the new Sirena Yachts line is the priority given to the owner’s privacy and comfort, which is clearly reflected in the innovative layout of the new superyachts.

As Çağın Genç explains, ‘the average age of our owners has dropped by 10 years and is now between 40 and 50, which means they are looking for different characteristics in their yachts. We have eliminated the formal dining area, as these owners want to be more sociable in the outdoor areas and enjoy more informal meals with their friends. To ensure that the owner maintains his privacy when he wants it, we created a private terrace for the owner, where he can spend time alone and relax without being with other guests.”

Tanil Surmeli, Product Development Manager at Sirena Yachts, added: “As with all our yachts, we always try to take care of the owner’s area without compromise. We have done this with the Superyacht range. Moreover, in recent years, efficiency has prevailed over speed, functionality and customisation oversize. They are looking for the uniqueness offered just for them and this is the strength of Sirena Yachts.”
