Riva 180th anniversary: the short film “Riva The Persuaders!” is online

Riva The Persuaders!”, the mini-movie starring Favino, Beckham and Leclerc and co-starring the boats of Riva and Ferretti Group, has been released on the web

The short movie had its world premiere in a historic venue, the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice. Now the short film is visible to all, both on YouTube and on Riva and Ferretti Group’s social networks.

Inspired by the cult TV series “The Persuaders!”, in Italy “Attenti a quei due”, it was shot in the past few weeks on the coast between Italy and the French Riviera. The performers are well known: Pierfrancesco Favino, the famous Italian actor already co-starring in the first short film of the Riva brand, “Riva in the Movie“, world football star David Beckham, icon of English style and one of the most followed celebrities in the world, and Charles Leclerc, Scuderia Ferrari driver and idol of Formula 1 fans.

“Riva’s story is one for the movies and this extraordinary short film, with a sensational trio of protagonists, is the perfect celebration of the 180th anniversary. I would like to thank Pierfrancesco, David and Charles for the friendship, passion and fun they put into the project: the result is spectacular,” commented Alberto Galassi, CEO of the Ferretti Group. “Back in the day, I was a faithful viewer of the TV series ‘The Persuaders!’, for us Italians ‘Attenti a quei due’, and I found the same ironic and elegant style in this little gem. As always, Riva gives great emotions”.

Together with the three celebrities, the stars are the splendid boats of the Riva shipyard, whose 180th anniversary falls this year, as well as a blazing Ferrari and an incredible vintage Maserati. “Riva The Persuaders!” was filmed between the French Riviera and Montecarlo, where Pierfrancesco Favino was seen sailing aboard a magnificent Riva 56′ Rivale, David Beckham on Riva 68′ Diable and Charles Leclerc on Rivamare. The action and movements are those of an adrenalin-fuelled film, full of chases on land and at sea.

As with the previous short film Riva, director Federico Brugia led the shooting, with Armando Testa Studios, of the Armando Testa Group, producing.
