‘Princess Exclusive’ proceeds in Plymouth, at the headquarters of the Princess Yachts brand. The exclusive event showcases a line-up of eight yachts with two global launches – the new Princess X80 and the new V50 – originally planned for boot Düsseldorf 2022. (Pictured above: Princess X80)
Princess Yachts has not been idle since the announcement of the cancellation of Boot Dusseldorf 2022. In the picturesque setting of Plymouth, the historic British luxury yacht builder unveiled a fleet of eight yachts including two global launches. These are the Princess X80 and the brand new V50. At Royal William Yard there are also the X95 (which you can admire here), Y72, F55, V55, as well as Princess V40 and Princess S62 located in the nearby Mayflower Marina.
Princess Yachts, family reunion for the X Class ‘superfly
For the first time, visitors to the Princess Exclusive event have the opportunity to experience both yachts in the new X Class ‘superfly’ range, the X80 and X95.
Featuring an extended flybridge providing 30% more interior space than a conventional motor yacht, the X80 is the smaller sister ship to the X95. Born from Princess’ long-standing collaboration with Olesinski and Pininfarina, the X80 includes an enclosed deck and Skylounge on the upper deck, and an optional forward owner’s cabin on the main deck.
Will Green, Chief Commercial Officer of Princess Yachts, said he was excited about the event, which came after the sad news of the cancellation of the Düsseldorf boot. “This is the first time our customers will be able to experience the new X80. Royal William Yard’s proximity to our factories in Plymouth also means that our employees and the local community will be able to see a boat show on their doorstep. We are extremely grateful to the Royal William Yard marina team and Urban Splash for helping us bring this incredible event to life, as well as to the owners of the resident berths for allowing us to borrow their unique location,” commented Green.
As part of the event, Princess is in fact planning to host its employees on selected evenings during the week to provide them with the opportunity to see the finished yachts in a showroom setting, a novelty that is not always accessible to those working on the production line.
