The wallywhy150 was designed by Wally-Ferretti Group Engineering together with Studio A. Vallicelli & C for the interior. The debut is planned for spring 2023
Wally has released renderings of the new wallywhy150 that will complement the first full-wide-body yacht wallywhy200 unveiled in September 2021. “After the success of the wallywhy200 we were asked to create a yacht with the same innovative features, but smaller in size. We, therefore, decided to develop this new 24-metre long, 150 GT vessel, adding some special features to enhance its strong and unmistakable personality. The wallywhy150 is yet another example of how Wally is constantly ahead of its time and capable to set new standards in yacht design,” commented Stefano de Vivo, Wally’s Managing Director.
Luca Bassani, Founder and Chief Designer Wally, explains the genesis of the model: “The concept was inspired by its big sister, the wallywhy200. The challenge was to incorporate some elements of the 200 in a smaller size, while opening the door to innovative solutions in this dimension. In particular, we maximised the exterior spaces, which are very large and unprecedented in this market segment”.
In general, great emphasis was placed on all the outdoor areas, where, thanks to careful use of space, the team managed to create a true dining area in the sundeck complete with every accessory, including a bar/kitchen with grill, refrigerators and all the comforts that allow one to fully enjoy life in the open air. Another innovative feature of the wallywhy150 is the main deck that runs entirely on a single level, seamlessly linking the sea-facing cockpit to the full-beam interior saloon.
The wallywhy150 will sail to the most important locations in the Mediterranean as well as the most remote islands in the Caribbean, says a satisfied Stefano de Vivo.
Like the wallywhy200, this model features a large glass enveloping the main deck and a bow high above the water that offers a 270-degree view from the owner’s cabin located at the extreme bow. The wallywhy150 will be the first yacht in its market segment to offer this globally introduced innovation aboard the wallywhy200 in 2021. The wallywhy150 also offers considerable headroom in the saloon: thanks to the curved ceiling, the living area reaches a height of 2.5 metres in places.
The first unit of the wallywhy150 will be launched in February and is scheduled to make its world debut in spring 2023.
The wallywhy150 is aimed at families and couples but also at charter. She can accommodate eight guests in four comfortable cabins, plus four crew members housed in two other cabins. With the propulsion of three optional Ips1350s, the wallywhy150 reaches a top speed of 23 knots, while with the standard three-engine Ips1200, it cruises at 21 knots.
