Militem Ferōx-T, the exaggerated gladiator

Militem, an Italian company specialised in the development of American off-road vehicles, presents the Ferōx-T, a pick-up truck derived from the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon

by Massimo Longoni

Militem, a company specialising in the development of American off-road vehicles, launches the Ferōx-T, a project based on the Jeep Gladiator. This Italian branded pick-up, which has a powerful 285 hp 3.6-litre V6 Pentastar engine, maintains an SUV personality but adds a series of important improvements to the US model that focus on design, interior comfort, and technical off-road performance.

The interiors are a masterpiece of haute couture artisanship and are finished by hand. The seats are made of genuine Italian leather and the colour of the Alcantara inserts can be customized. The console houses the button that activates the multicolour lights.

Positioned at the top end of the market, Militem Ferōx-T seeks to be the ultimate expression of this company that was founded in 2017 and has already re-proposed several iconic Jeep models in a more luxurious, refined, and Italian style, such as the Hero, based on the Renegade, or the Magnum, based on the Ram. However, unlike the Magnum, the Militem Ferōx-T is intended to be a supercar of pick-up trucks, with a very distinct and determined personality, starting with the muscular body lines, finished to the smallest detail and with an outstanding level of customisation, like the rear bumper, which is integrated into the mudguard with great attention and skill. The careful study of the lines also concerns the details, which this vehicle shares with the rest of the range, like the tone-on-tone grille in the same colour as the bodywork or – as an option – in exposed carbon, the 20-inch shiny black rims, and the large bumpers.

Under the bonnet is a 3.6-litre V6 engine with 285 hp and 353 Nm of torque with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a Black Performance twin-exit exhaust with a Dual Mode valve.

Included in the standard version of the car is the Ferōx Bar, a specific rollbar to further emphasise the design, but also to house the retractable LED spotlights, which can be activated with an internal button and are especially useful for off-road use. The high-tech cargo bed in nautical material is also new. It can be colour-customised and is a reference to the world of yachts. Militem Ferōx-T has a towing capacity of 3,500 kilograms and a standard tow hitch, making it an off-road tender-trailer.

ELECTRIC RETRACTABLE FOOTRESTS ARE STANDARD, AS ARE THE FRONT AND REAR NEUTRAL SMOKED LIGHTS AND PUDDLE LIGHTS.
