Mabelle, the Sherpa 80 from Arcadia Yachts is at MYS 2022

24 metres long and 7 metres wide, Arcadia Yachts’ MY Mabelle Sherpa 80 will make a fine showing at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 that opens in Port Hercule on 28 September

“Monaco is the ideal showcase for a boat that best expresses the essence of Arcadia Yachts. This Sherpa 80 was built with the owners’ wishes and tastes in mind down to the smallest detail and therefore fully reflects their personality. Like many other models moored at Port Hercule ‘Mabelle’ therefore represents the realisation of a dream,” commented Ugo Pellegrino, Sole Director of the Campania-based shipyard.

Mabelle was built for an Italian ship-owning couple with a long experience in the sailing world behind them, which is also reflected in the interior furnishings, characterised by a very nautical atmosphere and soft colours based on the alternation of white and various shades of blue such as dusty blue.

Launched this summer in front of the Sorrento peninsula, Mabelle has four large cabins and offers her guests over 200 square metres of indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy at different times of the day, with comfort at the highest level and the possibility of enjoying breathtaking views from every deck. The toys and dinghies are stowed in the side garage and the lazarette is exceptionally large, so there is great freedom of movement, thanks to the absence of clutter.

Experiencing the sea all year long

On the aft deck, there is a “jardin d’hiver”, a convertible area that, thanks to the possibility of closing the space with sliding glass doors both aft and sideways, allows the aft deck dining area to be heated or cooled. The latter, once closed, is in total continuity with the skylounge, with which it forms a single area that can be converted as desired at various times of the day, also thanks to the Up & Down glass. This solution allows the environment to be experienced at different times of the year and in different geographical areas, which is a feature common to all of the boatyard’s models, and that – thanks to the sense of continuity between the interior and exterior décor, the large windows and sliding glass panes – present extremely convertible environments.

The engine room houses a pair of Volvo Penta Ips 1350s, which provide a range of over 1,200 nautical miles, a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots.

In keeping with the green soul of Arcadia Yachts, the Sherpa 80 and the MY Mabelle also feature energy-efficient and environmentally friendly devices such as LED lights and solar panels that provide around 3 kW of clean energy, enough to power the main hôtellerie services on board.

Arcadia Yachts will be at the Monaco Yacht Show from 28 September to 1 October at Quai Chicane
