The mustang is an american icon. It is not just a car – it represents a lifestyle, a way of being, thanks also to an extraordinary 5,000 cubic centimetre v8 engine

Matthias Tonn, the chief engineer of the Mustang Mach 1 program for Europe, said the Mach 1 is the best Mustang ever to arrive in Europe, with outstanding track racing capabilities and unique styling – more than worthy of representing a legendary brand. The Mustang Mach 1is a limited-edition model with racing-inspired specifications and details for high-performance car enthusiasts. The 5.0 V8 engine is all-aluminium and combines an Open Air Induction System with an intake manifold and 87 mm throttle bodies with a dual high and low-pressure fuel injection system to deliver 460 horsepower and 529 Nm of torque.
The exterior design reflects Ford’s sportiness, which in the interior is enhanced by many aluminium details, dedicated to the Mach 1 trim. The infotainment with SYNC 3 connectivity system has a top-notch stereo system with 12 speakers.
The car has 22 per cent more aerodynamic load than the Mustang GT for greater cornering grip and stability even at high speeds. There is a choice of two different gearboxes, either a six-speed Tremec manual or a 10-speed automatic, with software that allows 0-100 km/h performance in 4.8 and 4.4 seconds respectively and a top speed of 267 and 249 kilometres per hour. Both manual and automatic versions offer additional rear axle cooling and both come standard with a limited-slip differential for greater grip on the straight and out of corners.
The 5.0-liter V8 aluminium engine is capable of producing 460 horsepower and 529 Nm of maximum torque, delivered to the ground by either a six-speed Tremec manual or ten-speed automatic transmission.
The Mustang Mach 1 benefits from many performance-enhancing aerodynamic modifications such as a revised two-part front grille, lower grille, and side grille combined with a new spoiler, while the longer underbody incorporates wings designed to direct aerodynamic airflow directly to the brakes with six-piston Brembo calipers. The suspension architecture is configured to maintain stance under hard acceleration and braking and includes subframes and components proven on the Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT500 models. MagneRide dampers, springs, anti-roll bars and bushing specifications provide excellent control and response. The Epas steering software makes Mach 1 more precise than any other Mustang.

(249 KM/H WITH AUTOMATIC GEAR SHIFT) AND GOES FROM ZERO
TO 100 KM/H IN 4.8 SECONDS
To further enhance driving fun, the car features Drive Modes with Sport and Track modes, combined with Track Apps to monitor the accelerometer, speed and Launch Control functions, in the 12” digital instrument cluster. For Italian customers, there is an exclusive 57-piece limited edition in Fighter Jet Grey livery with hood stripes on the hood and side stripes on the doors to complete the racing style. The front grilles are finished in gloss black, while the iconic Mach 1 logo stands out at the rear and sides. The 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels are 0.5 inches wider and are fitted with track-ready Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres.
