Floating Life and CCN agreement, Dream 42 construction announced

Dream 42, designed by Floating Life founder Andrea Pezzini, will be built by CCN, a division of the Baglietto Group

Floating Life announced a partnership with CCN to bring the Dream 42 project to life. The occasion was a special evening with a piano concert held in the evocative setting of a marble quarry in Carrara to celebrate 20 years of activity of the boutique company specialising in yachting services founded by Andrea Pezzini and Barbara Tambani. Dream 42 is a 42-metre displacement yacht with innovative features that make it perfect for sharing between seven different owners, each of whom will own a fraction of the yacht.

“We are delighted with this opportunity that allows us to revalue the CCN brand, an integral part of the Baglietto Group, and dedicate it to special and unique projects of great relevance such as this one by Floating Life,” comments Fabio Ermetto, Cco Baglietto.

“It is with great pride that Floating Life announces this synergy at an extremely positive moment for our company, which coincides with the celebration of its 20 years of activity in the yachting industry,” says Filippo Rossi, Floating Life’s Cco. “Floating Life and CCN – a division of the Baglietto Group – represent two excellences in the sector and being able to offer our clients the construction quality of this shipyard is for us a source of great pride, but also a further reason to underline the attention we pay to our owners in offering products and services that are always of the highest level”.

“We are extremely pleased to celebrate 20 years of our activity with this new collaboration that gives us prestige and further confirms our presence on the market,” emphasises Andrea Pezzini, CEO of Floating Life. “For us it represents a point of arrival because it is the result of previous fruitful collaborations; at the same time it is a starting point, because it means sharing the same vision of the future”.

Dream 42 has, like the FL38, FL 42 and FL47 of the FL Series Anniversary, the line of totally customisable yachts presented at the last Monaco Yacht Show, the same technical platform designed by Andrea Pezzini, with the collaboration of Satura Studio, and the ZeroTredici studio for the hulls. Dream 42 is a 42-metre long displacement yacht with a transoceanic range; she has the ideal characteristics to be the first yacht in the new Fractional Ownership or Time Sharing programme in which Floating Life now boasts in-depth know-how developed over 16 years of managing Ocean yachts.

Among the features of this vessel, as also for the units of the FL Series Anniversary, is the under lower deck, which allows the engine room to be located on an additional deck, freeing up space in the guest area on the lower deck and creating a corridor that puts this area in direct contact with the beach area, as well as facilitating crew service by connecting the two areas. In addition, moving the engine room makes it possible to bring all the weights to a lower level, improving the stability of the ship and equipping it with an adjoining technical area to be used, for example, for laundry or storage. Finally, Dream 42, like the FL Series models, is designed with a range of 5,000 nautical miles capable of making Atlantic crossings with peace of mind.

The construction of Dream 42 will begin in December 2022. Currently there are already 3 owners who have joined the Fractional Ownership programme and contracts with further customers are in the pipeline. Among the agreements is also the listing for the construction of the other 3 boats in the FL Anniversary series.

Another special feature of the Dream 42 is that it has as many as six different outdoor areas, at the front and rear of the yacht, on different decks. This means that with all 12 guests allowed on board, for example six couples, each will be able to enjoy their own intimacy in their own completely private space. The layout includes seven cabins, designed with versatile spaces and maximum flexibility in layout – a real plus for the charter market as well.

“We named this yacht Dream, because we believe it represents the dream of any owner,” concludes Andrea Pezzini. “Compared to Pearl and Emerald, the yachts of the Ocean series (launched in 2010 and designed by Lord Norman Foster), it presents many improvements with regard to the exploitation of living space and the guarantee of privacy, because Dream 42 is the result of continuous attention to life on board, to the needs and all those details that are part of the owners’ desires”.
