The Tuscan Consortium of Marinas is increasingly active in offering services to yachtsmen with the highest safety standards, in addition to the sale of berths

The marinas adhering to the consortium offer welcoming places, safe hubs for yacht chartering and leisure boating to fully boost the region’s tourism network, not only land-to-sea but also sea-to-land. From Viareggio up to Piombino and Isola d’Elba, the campaign promoted by the consortium is “Experiencing Tuscany by the sea”. All these thanks to a region that is one of the most popular and well-known in Italy, starting from ports in artistic cities, historic towns, breathtaking scenery, food and wine destinations, history and culture.
The 11 marinas of the consortium can accommodate from the smallest boats to mega yachts of over 100 metres.
The marinas and ports belonging to the Consortium are Marina Cala de’ Medici SpA, a company managing the tourist port of the same name in Rosignano, the cooperative L’Ormeggio from Marina di Salivoli, Yacht Broker and Viareggio Porto 2020 in Viareggio, Porto Azzurro in Isola d’Elba, Port of Pisa, Azimut Benetti with both Lusben docks in Viareggio and Livorno, Marina dei Presidi – Porto Ercole, as the representative of the Marinedi group, and Marina Arcipelago Toscano, a structure to be built in the future to increase the capacity to accommodate mega yachts in the Piombino area.
A total of over 3,000 berths are available for boats and yachts ranging from 5 metres to over 100 metres. Furthermore, quality services, smart columns, and smart mobility solutions are some of the pluses of that Tuscany Marine offers. In addition to yacht charters, some marinas have berths for sale for a total of 500 berths for both small boats and yachts.

Because of the success reaped last summer, all marinas will continue focusing on the services of safe hubs for yacht charters and sheltered accommodation. Furthermore, the consortium will offer a Fidelity Card with a 10% discount on mooring fees while transiting in the ports that adhere to the network, and a welcome kit with typical food and wine products from local companies.
A promotional activity related to the common sea-to-land message in the coastal area that aims at building yachtsmen’s loyalty, not only with high-level ports capable of accommodating high-quality tourism and offering state-of-the-art services, but also stimulating the desire for discovery and offering easy access to the historical, artistic and natural beauty of Tuscany. A project supported by the Region of Tuscany which is integrated within the promotion of the Tuscan Coast | Tuscan Islands, enhancing the specific characteristics of each area in the region.

The importance of port accessibility and barrier-free boating is one of the priorities of the consortium, which has partnered with Marco Rossato, a solitary sailor and president of I Timonieri Sbandati ASD, a sailing and boating school dedicated to the world of disabilities. Rossato is visiting all the marinas and ports of the network, intending to discuss the possibility of a sailing and boating world open to everyone and verifying the accessibility of the marinas proposing solutions to encourage barrier-free boating and ports. One of the Consortium’s priority goals is to promote and ‘export’ the already widely recognisable brand of Tuscany’s coastal territories.
