WITH ITS BEAUTY, ATTENTION TO DETAIL, PERFORMANCE AND CONSTRUCTION QUALITY, THE COLOMBO 33 SOGNO is a contemporary interpretation of a line of classic motorboats. Combining timeless design with modern quality and technology, it gives an experience that is always thrilling.
Although Italian regulations only class it as a natante boat, it provides everything you could want to spend some pleasant time aboard, but in a limited space. This refinement is the result of the careful working of the wood and paintwork, which are cleverly combined in a mix of materials and colours. It is a commitment that is reminiscent of the beauty of the past when people didn’t skimp on time when creating something worthwhile.
The deck is refined and functional, as is the befitting of a boat, which can also be used for daily outings. It has an awning, sun pad, dining table and fridge.
The stern has a sizeable and easy-to-use swimming platform, while the large cockpit, which can comfortably hold everybody on board, is the boat’s strongest feature. It has a sofa which runs right across from one side to the other and can be fitted with a table for on-board socialising. A mobile bar with sink, wine rack and a fridge with drawers complete the outdoor furnishings. The stern sun pad is made in a way that even the cushions enhance the colour scheme of the boat.
A refuge with a bed and bathroom with basin and WC is hidden beneath the deck in the bow. Teak and mahogany embellish the deck and the gunwales. A water-based enamel has been used for the paintwork, which is all to the advantage of the health of the workers involved in applying it, allowing a considerable reduction (of up to 90%) in the amount of solvent emitted into the atmosphere.
Like all of the yard’s models, it has been carefully crafted with the use of the best construction products and sought-after materials for the finishes.
Sogno 33 is a sporty boat designed to go fast, and the engines available are in line with that. You can choose from a range of options: petrol-powered ones developing an outlet mechanical power between 250 and 350 hp each, or a pair of 270 hp Diesel engines. With two petrol 300 hp V8s and a stern drive with double counter-rotating propellers, the top speed is 48 knots. At 27-knot cruising speed, it uses 2.0 litres per nautical mile, while the 520-litre tank means it has a range of 250 miles. The hull is designed to hold the sea very well, the trim and spray rails are correctly designed and so the deck and passengers don’t get wet. The model can be completely customised, both in terms of colour and in set-up, and there are a lot of carefully crafted accessories available that have been exclusively created by the yard’s master shipwrights.
Thanks to a weight-to-power ratio of 7.2 kilos for every horsepower available, the boat can easily reach 48 knots.
