The 2019 edition of Benetti Yachtmaster will see the participation of more than 200 professionals from the boating industry: commanders, surveyors, paint inspectors, owner’s representatives and stewards from three continents. Paolo Vitelli, President of the Azimut|Benetti Group, opened the event.
The aim of the event was to carry on a constant and in-depth training and updating work: networking moments alternated with important opportunities for discussion and reflection.
Sebastiano Fanizza, Benetti‘s Chief Commercial Officer, illustrated the shipyard’s fleet, starting with Diamond 145, Oasis 40M and B.NOW. Filippo Censi Buffarini, Lusben Sales Manager of Livorno, and Marco Nuovo, Lusben Sales Manager of Viareggio, spoke about the numbers of Lusben for refit&repair projects of luxury yachts.
Many outdoor team building activities, focused on the theme of survival in extreme conditions and were followed by high level technical workshops such as “The human factor in marine weather forecasting”, led by Gianfranco Meggiorin and Daniele Vitri of Navimeteo.
Considerable success was achieved by the seminars “Crew crisis: your legal resources”, held by Maxime Brégon of Fraser Yachts and Tom Becker and Adrian Ogier of Oceanskies; “Risk awareness, strategies and services for risk reduction“, moderated by Giorgio Gallo and Enrico Ursomando of RINA. The workshop “Update on VAT and customs in yachting“, led by Daniela De Marco of Fraser Yachts, with the participation of Ezio Vannucci of Moores Rowland Partners, a tax consultancy company, and Clayton Fenech and Niki Travers Tauss of Valletta Superyachts Network, an agency based in Malta, also stood out.
