Azimut Yachts has come up with a brand-new interpretation of the luxury yacht concept, working with highly creative and innovative designers who focus on the latest trends and interpret the use of original materials in their own unique way, while still maintaining the high quality standards we have come to expect from the Avigliana-based yard.
The Azimut S10 explores contemporary design through essential values rooted in its history. The new flagship also represents an exciting journey of discovery of stylistic influences, together with unusual and innovative materials from a blend of different worlds and cultures, seeking a stylistic balance in their diversity that goes from classic to contemporary. The new flagship of the
S Collection is a sporty boat, albeit more refined than other yachts of this type. Characterised by its curved lines and very high performances, it is built around a concept of total liveability on board, based upon three fundamental images. The first image is that of a large, classic megasailer, where the slightly lowered central cockpit represents the heart of social life on board and the perfect refuge for sheltering from the sun.
The second is that of a sophisticated and modern seaside villa, with terraces that descend gradually towards the sea: this same approach is behind the Azimut S10 design, where a completely empty flush deck offers an unusual solution for a raised outlook over the sea.
This space can be furnished and used according to the owner’s requirements. It’s the perfect place for sun loungers, which can later be moved out of the way for an evening party. It could also be fitted with a Jacuzzi area or a simple yet elegant lounge. The terrace is a central element of the Azimut S10, which communicates and dialogues seamlessly with the sea.
The stern railing is made of glass and designed to be almost invisible, linking two areas on two different levels in a very subtle and elegant fashion. Stairs, hidden by an innovative solution that gives the transom an even more streamlined look, lead down to the beach club with its platform over the sea. The sporty design of this model is also apparent in its forms and in the choice of materials.
Carbon fibre features as both a technical choice and a stylistic theme: left visible, its black and powerful finish marks out the edges of the side fins, angled and oriented towards the bow for an intense sensation of dynamism. Carbon fibre also replaces the classic steel handrail, almost resembling a rifle that extends to the bow and surrounds the sunbridge perfectly.
Car design is the third source of stylistic inspiration. This idea was based on the meticulous study of the way in which sunlight and the reflections of the water play upon the surfaces and sections of the boat, sculpting and emphasizing the beauty of its lines. The aerodynamic design is also enhanced and enriched by lighting design: concealed lighting adds life and intrigue to every area of the vessel.
Light is used to highlight the most distinctive features, making the model stand out even more. The central stairway leading to the fly bridge also becomes an important design element made from carbon fibre and light, almost a central spine that reveals the character, uniqueness and perfect symmetry of the cockpit.
