After the 55′ shown to the public a few weeks ago, now comes the Solaris Power 48 Open. The philosophy inspired by the American lobsters wanted by the three creators of the range, Norberto Ferretti, Brunello Acampora and Giuseppe Giuliani, is still the same. Official debut in September at the next Cannes Yachting Festival.

Like the 55′, the new Solaris Power 48 Open is a very technical boat that gives priority to seaworthiness, functionality and safety. It comes in two engines, both Volvo Penta IPS, 600 or 650. It is able to reach a top speed of 35 knots, whilst navigating at an economic cruising speed of 20 knots its range is about 300 miles. The deck is available in three versions, Open, Hardtop and Flybridge.

In the 48 Open, as in the 55, particular attention was paid to comfort and liveability by creating an open walkaround that offers large spaces below deck and that can count on other important features such as the side bulwarks that can be folded down, thanks to which the cockpit increases its surface area by 20%, offering width and comfort overlooking the sea, a large garage for the tender and a spacious and well ventilated engine room that allows easy access to the propellers and all systems.

On the deck, forward, there is a large sunbathing area with a shaded headrest, which reaches as far as the windscreen of the driver’s console with two ergonomic seats. The wheelhouse, the throttles, the joystick and the control panel are controlled by two large touch-screen displays.

Amidships, a bar/galley cabinet houses the carbon fibre T-Top support. At the stern, there is another large sunbathing area, which can also be shaded, while the cockpit is equipped with two opposite seats and a central table.

For the interiors, there are two available fittings: in both, the owner’s cabin occupies the bow of the boat and is full beam. In the first version, there is a second cabin with twin beds, with window and access to the head, while in the second version the space dedicated to guests consists of a sitting room with sofas and a central table. A hatch at the bow leads to the sailor’s cabin.
