Propspeed has announced its partnership with Fairline Yachts. The New Zealand-based company develops high-performance products that make marine vessels more efficient and economical to manage and maintain, with the goal of doing as little harm to people and the environment as possible.
Propspeed will be the standard coating for all Volvo IPS propulsion systems in the Fairline range. The line includes the 45 and 50 foot Targa models and all Squadron models.
Chris Baird, CEO of Propspeed, commented: “The addition of Propspeed’s antifouling coating to the IPS transmission system ensures that the owner of a Fairline boat can count on the outstanding, long-lasting performance and the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their investment is protected from corrosion and unwanted marine growth”.
“We’ve put a lot of time and energy into the design of our Targa and Squadron models,” said Martyn Hicks, director of technical services at Fairline Yachts. “Our search for the perfect solution to underwater fouling to achieve the highest level of quality has led us to try many other products. After extensive research, we decided to rely on Propspeed and we believe it is the best option to protect the Volvo IPS system”.
The ultra-slick finish of Propspeed has been specially formulated to prevent marine growth from bonding to metal surfaces below the waterline. It has been proven to increase boat efficiency, reduce drag, save fuel and maintenance costs.
