The first Pershing 140, the new flagship of the Mondolfo brand, was launched on the docks of Ancona’s Super Yacht Yard. The first Pershing made of aluminium, designed by Fulvio de Simoni, will leave for Hong Kong, its final destination, after the technical tests.
Its aggressive profile combines original design elements with the latest models, such as the two lateral wings integrated into the superstructure and connected to the gunwale at the start of the walkways. The new Pershing 140 is characterized by an original layout in the aft area: the cockpit has been slightly raised and becomes a mezzanine level.
The result is the creation of a large open area overlooking the sea that rises from the water to the sun deck, connecting the entire aft section of the yacht.
The main deck houses a lounge with a bar and dining area facing a large private entertainment area, while the lower deck has four suites, including two VIP suites with double beds and two twin beds.
Born out of the collaboration between the architect Fulvio De Simoni, the Strategic Product Committee of Ferretti Group, led by the engineer Piero Ferrari, and the Engineering Department of the Group, this 43-metre yacht is the first Pershing built in the Superyacht Yard in Ancona, a Ferretti Group plant specialising in the construction of super and mega yachts in steel and aluminium over 40 metres.
“Anyone who’s sailed on a Pershing is familiar with the adrenaline rush that kicks in with every turn: it is a unique feeling, akin to flying through the waves, which deserves to be experienced in the utmost comfort. In addition, this new flagship embodies the highest expression of the “Pershing thrill”. A natural evolution of the brand’s range, the Pershing 140 is an engineering masterpiece that combines the drive for innovation, a core element of the brand’s DNA, with the wealth of expertise and skills developed over the past 30 years. The launch of the first unit marks a landmark moment for the history of Pershing and the commercial strategy of Ferretti Group” said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi.
