Syncrolift can accommodate mega yachts of up to 3,300 tons, 110 meters in length and six meters draught. Palumbo Superyachts Ancona can now count this new and advanced lifting system among its facilities.
Its structure consists of a steel platform 81 meters high and 19 meters wide, supported by 14 large winches that allow the lifting or launching of mega yachts. Syncrolift is already up and running, but it will be officially inaugurated on the launch of Columbus 80 meters Dragon, scheduled for mid-March 2019.
Its building took months of intense excavation work on the seabed, the construction of underwater bulwarks to contain it and, last but not least, the translation of the platform onto the piers and its fixing on the bases. The investment by Palumbo Superyachts was of about 6 million euros, and it will be used both for new constructions and for the refitting works required for large boats.
Palumbo Superyachts Ancona, with this new arrival, confirms itself as the reference pole in the Adriatic area, with its 50,000 square meters of total extension, 10 piers, travel lift of 560 tons, a covered area able to accommodate boats up to 100 meters in length, crew office, guest quarters and ship-chandler services.
