As officially announced, a few months after the presentation of the MCY 70 Skylounge at the Miami Yacht Show 2020, Monte Carlo Yachts launched the second model in the Collection: the new MCY 76 Skylounge.
The new MCY 76 Skylounge bears the signature of Nuvolari Lenard, clearly visible in the elegant external lines, designed to ensure a close link with the sea. Even the large windows and expanded portholes, designed to ensure greater exposure to natural light throughout the yacht, are the work of the international design studio.
“Volumes, light and harmony are the hallmark of the MCY 76 Skylounge,” say Carlo Nuvolari and Dan Lenard. “We worked on the design of a boat that offers a new cruising experience with extreme levels of comfort and safety on board, to be enjoyed all year round. We are proud to say that the new MCY’ model perfectly matches these ambitious goals, representing the right place for those who want to escape for unique and exclusive moments”.
The new model features a large and versatile forward lounge area with sun loungers and dining tables. In addition, the large aft cockpit offers a comfortable area with an outdoor dining area in close connection with the main saloon. Mirrored windows increase the level of protection from environmental factors, as well as providing greater privacy. On the upper deck, the large aft terrace is the real added value, offering a customizable external projection of the closed Flybridge, which in the first unit has a lounge area located near the outdoor kitchen.
The MCY 76 Skylounge boasts a large enclosed Flybridge, allowing you to enjoy navigation in all seasons. In this area there is the cockpit, fully equipped with state-of-the-art technological elements. This added volume becomes a second saloon with a customizable entertainment area that can also be transformed into the owner’s private study with an impressive 360-degree view of the horizon. The Flybridge closed structure is made of carbon fiber, a lightweight material characterized by high strength and exceptional durability. Another feature of this area are the large, openable Skylights, which allow owners and guests to view the sky during the cruise.
The main deck has a flexible layout characterized by sofas, galley and large dining area with storage space, which can be rearranged according to the owner’s preferences. Common to the second generation MCY 76, the main saloon of the MCY 76 Skylounge also features increased exposure to natural light. An internal steel and wooden staircase leads to the enclosed Flybridge, without interrupting the surrounding space or obstructing the view.
“The levels of comfort and privacy on board the new MCY 76 Skylounge are maximized, thanks to the versatility of the layouts and the different possibilities of using both the main deck and the upper deck saloon,” says Sergio Loiacono, MCY’s Sales and Marketing Director. “With the second model of the Collection we continue our path of innovation, introducing a new concept of experience on board, able to satisfy the desires of owners all over the world for freedom and well-being”.
On the lower deck there are accommodations for up to eight guests: a full beam owner’s cabin, a VIP cabin and two guest cabins, each with a dedicated private bathroom. True to the MCY Collection, the owner’s cabin of the new MCY’ model features the iconic Monte Carlo Yachts portholes. Even the crew quarters, located aft, are fully customizable, with the possibility of having up to two crew cabins or a combination of a spacious cabin with galley and dinette instead of a second cabin.
The interior decor consists of bright lacquered panels and warm natural maple wood surfaces, enriched with chrome details and reflective materials. The harmonious atmosphere is given by textures and patterns introduced with a careful choice of fabrics, marble and glass mosaics in the bathrooms. Owners can choose from a wide range of high quality materials.
