MOTORBOATS 22 January 2019
At Boot Düsseldorf, Monte Carlo Yachts revealed how the new MCY 70, the first of the three models scheduled for 2019, will look like: the MCY 66 and MCY 76 will also arrive. A new generation of yachts always signed Nuvolari and Lenard and inspired by the idea of home, away from home.
“The new MCY 70 is a great achievement”, say Carlo Nuvolari and Dan Lenard, who are responsible for the design of the entire range – it represents the natural evolution of everything that is beautiful in the MCY Collection, and takes it further. It belongs to that family in concept, appearance and design, but it is also original in materials, details and solutions for life on board.”
“At Monte Carlo Yachts we have always believed in a vision that has shaped and guided us for over ten years,” said Fabrizio Iarrera, Managing Director of Monte Carlo Yachts. “A vision that sees the customer at the centre of everything we do, inspired by the real need to reinterpret the true values of luxury, such as time, well-being and responsibility. The new MCY 70 perfectly interprets these values and our guiding principles of evolution alongside continuity”.
The new MCY 70 is a good example of the yacht’s vision as a home-away-from-home, with particular attention paid to the interior volumes, which are now wider, and to the outdoor entertainment areas, which are also more spacious. In addition, the bulwarks enhance the quality of light and optimise the spaces on the main deck, while the new windows together with the large portholes create a more direct and involving relationship with the external environment.
Other distinctive features of the new yacht include a carbon fibre T-Top, a strong reference to the brand’s family feeling, featuring lateral supports that allow a 360° view, and a flybridge with a customisable lounge area and tables served by an open-air galley.
The other two models that Monte Carlo Yachts will present in 2019 are the MCY 66 and MCY 76. The latter is the contemporary version of the very first yacht built by the shipyard, and is the result of over ten years of innovative design: a radical renewal without betraying the distinctive iconic characteristics of the boat. The MCY 66 will also be the natural evolution of the previous model, with an updated layout that increases the usable space in both the interior and the exterior of the boat.
