Currently under construction in Harlingen, the Netherlands, the 84-meter Icon 280 by Icon Yachts features exterior design by the renowned British designer, Tim Heywood, with naval architecture undertaken by the Dutch experts at Van Oossanen Naval Architects. In the engine room, there are two Caterpillar of 2,000 HP each, the maximum speed is of 16.5 knots.
Jen Wartena, CEO at ICON Yachts, is now in Miami for the Miami Yacht Show. Commenting on the brand’s presence in the States, Wartena states: “We are extremely excited to present the Icon 280 to a wide pool of clients, industry colleagues and media in Miami – undoubtedly one of America’s most significant yachting hubs. With American clients being some of the most prolific buyers of large superyachts in the world, we’re looking forward to bringing our Dutch heritage of unparalleled yacht building to America.”
With delivery scheduled two years after contract signing, potential clients at the Miami Yacht Show are welcomed to take a look at the project in more detail, exploring a unique opportunity to purchase a new build superyacht with a substantially reduced delivery time.
The interior design of the Icon 280 is still open to customization, allowing her future owner to create a personalized interior to complement their individual tastes.
