Echomap Ultra are Garmin’s new chartplotters. They have 10” or 12” displays and are designed specifically for those who go fishing by sea. They will be available on the market in just over two weeks.
They are characterized by an intelligent “hybrid” control system; a keyboard in fact assists the touchscreen. In this way, anglers will have a good control even when the weather conditions become challenging.
The Echomap Ultra features an integrated 600 W Chirp sonar, ClearVü function, high-frequency technology (which delivers extremely sharp images of everything underneath the boat), and SideVü technology, helping you to see what is happening on the sides of the hull.
The Ultra series also integrates Ultra High-Definition (UHD) sonar technology and is compatible with the Panoptix transducer series, including the new single-frequency LiveScope LVS12.
Garmin also offers Echomap Ultra with the new all-in-one GT54UHD-TM high-definition transducer. The Echomap Ultra are also compatible with the new BlueChart g3 and BlueChart g3 Vision cartography (optional). In this way, extra features such as 3D Mariner’s Eye and Fish Eye above and below sea level, high-resolution satellite images, aerial photographs and Auto Guidance 3.0 technology, can be used to automatically calculate the best route to the desired destination.
The Echomap Ultra can also benefit from the ActiveCaptain application, which allows you to connect Garmin Marine chartplotters to your mobile network and access a wide range of content such as OneChart, Smart Notification, software updates, Helm function, ActiveCaptain Community, route planning, data synchronization and QuickDraw Community.
The Echomap Ultra series will be available from April, with prices between €1,999 and €3,199 including VAT.
