The official launch of the new Dufour, the largest model in its production, will be in January next year, but the French shipyard has already released the first images of the 19-meter designed by Felci Yacht Design.
The new Dufour, with almost 22 meters of maximum length and 5.48m beam, will be the new flagship of the La Rochelle shipyard, taking up in full all the stylistic features we have already seen on the latest models, all designed by Umberto Felci’s studio. A perfect cruising machine, therefore, focused on space and functionality, but also a real sailing boat, with fast water lines, a trademark of Felci Yacht Design.
Standing out on the deck is the large cockpit with twin wheels, with the possibility of having a large sundeck in the middle. In this area, the flows on board have been carefully studied, with very easy access (facilitated by very low steps) to the side decks, as well as to the stern bridge.
Right here, hidden behind the folding mirror, there is a garage for a tender with an outboard engine. The Dufour 61 bridge is also distinguished by the roll-bar where the mainsail sheet is conveyed and by the possibility of having a barbecue area aft, with access also from the dashboard.
Below deck there will be three layouts available. First of all the galley layout can be changed, as it can be in the middle of the ship, in a slightly lowered position, or aft, to the left of the ladder. You can then choose between the three or four-cabin solution (plus the one for the sailor). In all the versions, the owner’s cabin is always forward (photo below).
