The Crossbow project carried out by Hydro Tec of Sergio Cutolo was chosen by ISA Yachts, Shipyard of the Palumbo Group, which presented it as the flagship of the Sport Coupé line.
Designed with the idea of combining high performance and efficiency, “Crossbow” represents a new and unique concept for a 100-meter superyacht. The hull is made entirely of aluminum, and it combines speed and aesthetics.
The yacht was designed to give the impression of a large continuous glass surface. This led to the creation of a curved windscreen, which creates large volumes and a double height for the interior saloon. The interior layout has been designed to leave ample room for personalization, leaving the possibility of creating, for example, a deck dedicated to a larger owner’s suite on the upper deck. The external areas of the bridge have been designed with speed in mind, keeping the fixed furniture light and well protected from the wind. At anchor, the bow is transformed into a large recreational and bathing area.
M/Y Crossbow has also been designed to remove the dependency of a support ship for transporting tenders and toys. A Heli-hangar has been integrated on the bow deck while, in the stern garage, located in front of the 135 sq.m. beach club, there is room for 2 customizable 9.5 m. tenders, together with the other toys.
The mere 3.5 meters of draught allow Crossbow to enter areas with reduced navigability, which is impossible for most yachts of the same size.
Hydro Tec by Sergio Cutolo confirms its position as a naval engineering studio capable of dealing with different types of boats, starting from tenders and easily distinguishing itself in the MegaYachts sector. The latest proof of this is the launch of the M/Y Dragon, an 80-metre yacht by Columbus Yachts, of which Mr. Cutolo and his team have taken care of both the design and engineering, as well as the external layout, including the fixed elements and the lighting, making extensive use of streep leds. The exterior design was also signed by Sergio Cutolo, consolidating the philosophy of Integrated Design and Creative Naval Architecture born more than 25 years ago with the foundation of Hydro Tec.
