Benetti appointed Burgess and Fraser as Central Agency for the brokerage of 107.6m (352.9ft) motor yacht Luminosity, currently at the final stages of fitting out. The gigayacht will soon be ready for a new owner to go cruising in summer 2020. Her exterior design is a collaboration between Zaniz Jakubowski, Andrew Langton and Giorgio M. Cassetta, while her interiors are entirely the work of Zaniz Jakubowski.
With a beam of 17m (55.8ft), six decks and a volume of 5,844GT, the spaces on Luminosity are very impressive. Built to the Passenger Yacht Code, she accommodates 26 guests in 11 suites plus a dedicated owner’s deck with large terraces fore and aft, floor to ceiling windows, and a guest elevator.
Luminosity features a fully certified helideck aft and a touch and go helipad on the foredeck. The private health club is fitted out with a steam room: when the side shell doors are open this becomes a sea-level spa, complete with a fully equipped gym, a cold pool that is maintained at four degrees Celsius, and a 30sqm (323sqft) swimming pool. The floor can be raised to create a dancefloor and a comfortable lounge area from which to immerse in the surroundings.
Six 1,334 hp Caterpillar diesel generators, operating at maximum efficiency, drive twin 2,200kW ABB azipods giving her a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 8,000 nm at 10 knots. With twin retractable stabilizers by Rolls-Royce, Luminosity is an ocean-capable yacht. As a diesel-electric hybrid noise and vibration are extremely low.
The asking price is of EUR 225,000,000.
